Current config' file size is around 190k. Theoretical max file size is 256k.

There doesn't seem to be much information about the SCS 500 anywhere. I've loaded a copy onto a test machine, but haven't had time to take it any further. I've been distracted by 3CX.

bigg3rdude24, the 450 that gave me trouble was configured with 1x dsm 32, 1xASM and 1x GATM8 modules.
Licenses were 50x Voicemail, 50x Unified Messaging, 1x Fax Suite,1x IP Client.
Software was SU.System-001 and SU.Desktop-001, like i said, it was an early one !!

This is definitely the same issue. I remember not being able to delete the fie named "Silence" as well.
I have to patch a 450 tomorrow night because of a send/receive fax issue. This one has not shown any problems with loading MOH files, but i'll have a poke around and see if i can spot...
Had exactly the same problem with the first one we installed early on this year. Didn't have to worry about it in the end as the client decided at the last moment that he wanted to use a CD player as an external MOH source.
None of the recent ones have shown this problem so I am guessing it was...

For any laptop that is used outside the network, make sure "Remember Password" is not ticked in CP Desktop Messaging Properties.
Otherwise CP will hang Outlook for >15 minutes while it decides it can't find the BCM. Most annoying...

The answer was pretty obvious and is as Magna and snowman have suggested.
It's our demo system that showed the problem and it had been defaulted but not repatched. December 2008 patches cured it and yes..the user was set to auto-logon as well.

Whenever I start outlook with the Call Pilot application installed and the BCM is not connected. (In other words the user has taken his laptop home and is disconnected from the office network) Outlook takes almost 20 minutes to start. Does anyone know how I can stop this for happening.
