Faulty Cat6 plugs on AV system

Thanks Wires for the link. Since my test we haven't had a problem with wall plates, and TVs. It looks like the AMX unit only works as good as the cabling. Installer spent hours troubleshooting the programming. It looks like the cabling is the only problem.

Faulty Cat6 plugs on AV system

Wires, to explain further. The HDMI signal is only going over the Cat 6 cable without a Network switch in between my devices. Interesting about the signal good for 100' for HDMI over twisted pair. Path: HDMI cable to Input Wall plate-->Cat 6(w/plugs)-->AMX DXLink RJ45(input)-->HDMI cable from...

Faulty Cat6 plugs on AV system

The company did not break the cable. There are no patch cords. They apparently said you can not break them(use jacks/patch cords) as the signal will degrade for HDMI and the TVs signal will not work. So all the cables are directly from the wall plates to the switcher/transmitter/receiver. I...

Faulty Cat6 plugs on AV system

A company paid a lot of money for an Audio/Video installer. They are using AMX switchers, with transmitters and receivers to carry the HDMI signal to TVs/Projection screens. I came in as they are having so many problems with projectors and digital wall plates not working. I found right away...

OLK folder why wont files delete

There is no sync, our users are using the cached mode in Outlook. I teseted my account, and it doesnt seem to save as many files in the OLK, however it did it twice. I know for a fact I closed the docs the correct way. The files that I watched during testing, mostly deleted automatically...

OLK folder why wont files delete

This is one of many articles that I read. This is related as the error was what made the caller call in the problem. However it doesnt solve my problem as the files are being kept in this OLK folder and not deleting. In my case, the file generates in the OLK folder upon a form in Outlook...

Can I use a PBX DID for a trunk line?

I am testing a Norstar DS NT5B01. In my office I use a Mitel 200sx, with 200 DID's coming in through a PRI. I was wondering if I could test the Norstar trunk lines by plugging in a DID from the Mitel, into the Norstar trunk port. Would there be any issues plugging one PBX into another PBX? This...

Mitel 200sx Is there a way to view all the different hunt groups, and pickup groups, without going through the form, and selecting them one by one. I found a hunt group in the 30's by chance as I was testing. I stopped at 20 for our pickup groups. Not even sure why there was 20+ setup in the...
