I know 0 about apache/tomcat, but I have been saddled with this project as the only IT guy here. We have a win2k box running 4.1 and we would like to move it at least to a newer and more secure box.
Is this a straightforward move? I read about the war file, but is there additional programming...
The links have been up for years, but we have just recently started using a web app that is generating more traffic. We have outside users that are able to connect, it's just users on the other side of Trouble that are having issues. Their connections are dropping in the middle of sessions...
They're connect to fast ethernet on both ends. Notrouble was configured for 10/half long before my time for a compatibility issue with a switch. I will be experimenting with it this weekend when no one else is on. The ports are configured for 10/half.
Bandwidth does not seem to be an issue...
Cisco 1720/21 routers. One of our web apps drops connections on a very irregular basis. T1 point to point connection. We'll call them Trouble and Notrouble

What would the effect be of a speed mismatch be between two routers on the Fa0 interface?
They're connected point to point on the serial interface, Fa0 on each one goes to the LAN on each side.
My initial thought is that they are unrelated, but we've been experiencing issues between these two...
Luckily the network management software company was good enough to help us get their port changed over. Be careful when using Brava Desktop with commvault.
Does anyone know what ports the services run on? One of my clients will not communicate with the server after installing a new network licensing software.
<Why do you need a loopback address to manage your router? If you can manage it without one then there is no need to add it. Some people do this for a specific reason, but if you don't know what that reason is already then you don't need to do it. That just bloats your routing table because...
I'm new to working with Cisco routers. I have taken a class, but it was before I had a real life need to know. We are attempting to utilize netflow to monitor the traffic between a 1721 and a 1720 device.
From what I know, I need to set up a loopback interface for management, but I have not...
Got the issue resolved.
#1. NEVER buy support for commvault through Dell. We spent over 4 hours on the phone before they escalated to CommVault proper. Dell has 1 CommVault support specialist and he does not seem that knowledgeable.
#2 After getting to CommVault the issue was resolved in...
Just a little more info
When I do a blank DR restore (the one that was generated when I first installed), it launches with no problem. Can the database become corrupted, and are there tools to fix it? Looking at the databases, they are very low on free space.
Help please =)
As of yesterday we were running Server 2003 Standard with SP2 and commvault 6.1 Things were working fine. After upgrading to Server 2003 R2, things are not so fine. Every time I try to launch the console (locally or remote), the commserve service dies and shows "unknown" in the Service...
Does anyone have some ideas for testing backup strategy? We have all of this data backed up and I'd like to make sure I can use it when the time comes!
Thanks!
