My system will do that when someone hits the "make all trunks busy" button on the attendant console. Took me a while to figure out what was happening. I'd look there first.
Thanks StanleySteamer. That was the answer I was looking for. Now I can look into a box of spares and tell one from another.
Thanks to all for your replies. Your expert help is invaluable!

The tag on the phone that sits on my desk does say Rev. #3 on it - however I have a few phones around here that seem to be missing tags or have been colored over. Also - I have located some used phones that are up for grabs and hoped I could easily tell what was what by the jack configuration.
I have an Option 11 system running both 2616 and 2008 phones. I would like to purchase more Rls 2 phones. How can you quickly identify Rls 1 from Rls 2 phones? I have heard something about the jacks on the bottom facing the same way - or not??
Thanks in advance.

I'll give both a try and see what happens. I have tried disl and enll once before but don't remember that it worked.
Once again - thanks for the knowledge.
Roger that! I will find a local outfit that can help with this. I will also tag the T1 provider and see what they can tell me as well.
I really appreciate the help - and at least now I can better explain to them what is happening.
Thanks again.

Newbie here with Nortel Opt.11 - rev 15 problem.
We currently have a T1 supplying incoming source (no PRI yet) and occasionally experience sync loss issues that cause outward dialing to roll back in to the attendant console. Can anyone help with instructions for a graceful system...
