Hello,
My company is out sourcing its basic IT Helpdesk function. As part of the knowledge transfer and gradual move away from its internal team, we wish to push some calls to the new setup, while the majority remain internal until a overall cut off, once management are satisfied with the new...
Hi Sekitori,
I have moved the headsets around and they checked out ok.
The issue remains on the one Softconsole.
I'm going to load the Softconsole software on my laptop and connect it up out of hrs, just to see whether it is a software load issue or the PC.
Will post results
Hello,
Hoping you can help as I'm out of ideas
I have two softconsoles (1.5), with two Plantronics CS60 - USB headsets
One of them provides the call alert in the headset, the other one doesn't. The users require a call alert as they are often away from the desk.
I have copied exactly the...
Hi,

Hello,
I may well be asking a very stupid question.
I will soon be providing support for several International branch sites (G450/S8300LSP) hooked off the back of our main system (87**).
I have the basic's on how they hook up and how to use local trunks, dialplan etc.
They use a seperate 3...
Sorry fro late reply, I've been off work.
Phoneguy, could you explain how CDR would help track unused extensions?
You mean via the Call-logger?
Mikey, its a all IP environment. I can see via the alarms that the handsets are not connected, but there is a culture off logging off from IP...
Hi,
Does anybody know of a report that will be able to provide me with details on whether an extension is not in use or if it has the last time it was used etc. Big ask i know.
We are nearly at full capacity in station RTU.
I have done the 'list reg ip', 'disp alarm' and I'm going to do a...
Cheers Guys,
I have switched back the old abb-d's so to the users so they won't have to enter manually, while I do some more reseach and log it as a bug with my BP if need be.
Thanks again
leo
Hi BSH,
I switched the abb-d's before too for the new numbers.
Cannot log-in via them or if done manually with new extensions
They are currently logging in manually with old extension numbers.
Cannot figure out how the new extensions are seen as logged in on status station even when logging...
Hi all,
CM5.2
I have changed a number of extensions using the 'change user extension' feature within ASA. All went well apart from one thing.
I have 4 ext's that used to log into a hunt group for a helpdesk. They can now only log into that hunt group if they log in via there old ext numbers...
Hi,
The old system was ditched, so all I have is the flashcard.
As we are in dispute with the BP, don't really want to hand it over to them.
Are Avaya and a BP the only way?
Hi all,
We are having a bit of a contract dispute with our BP. The only evidence that we have in terms of number of Licences that were held before an upgrade to S8720's from old Definity a few years ago is the old flashcards.
Is there any method of veiwing the data in a readable format on the...
Hello,

Original setup is 8700's in data centres with 8300/G450 LSP at 3 sites.
The data setup is resilent...
Hello all,
I'm looking for a ball-park figure for the install of a 600 user site, as my company is thinking of breaking out from its current managed service.
I'm thinking 2*S8730's,
2 or 3 G650's to cover the users and analogue cards, DS1's, ipsi, medpo, clan etc
I believe that i'll have to...
I found the nuggets to be good.
I haven't tried other vid's though.
I just find watching and listening easy than reading. Also, a little less boring for me.
Plus, you can watch them pretty much anywhere etc
Burtsbees,
It's just that 'I need you' so you can help me on this forum.
When you answer I 'feel like dancing'.
I had a big mop of curly hair as a kid, so the nickname has just stuck since them. Also David Hassalhoff :-)

HI Alamtnman,
I came from an Avaya background and I gained the CCNA to expand my knowledge of IP for obvious reasons (VOIP) like yourself.
I went the self-study route with lots of Books, Nuggets and Simulator downloads. I also had a network manager friend to help for the questions.
I would...
