I've been trying to get Type 5 CLI working on a BCM400 connected to Virgin Telewest for the last few months without success. Virgin now say that I need to set NPI to "Unknown" and "Type of Number" to National and to send 10 digits.
As far as I can see the BCM only allows the following...

Actually, I think I'm asking two questions in one:
1) Why doesn't E send the caller id of the phone that is doing the fowarding?
2) Is it possible to get hold of the originating internal number so that this can be sent as caller id
Does anyone know whether it is possible to set up forwarding so that the internal caller's extension number is sent as caller id. I know this is not allowed if the caller is external, but when the caller is internal his number is within the range of allowed caller ids.
