Hello Forum,
We have to remote dial (modem) into our MMS v2.0 using craftppp login (then use web to access vm). However one of our technicians changed the craftppp password and we can't figure it out.
We can still do voicemail actions directly on the server, however it's in another bldg...
Trunk still OOS-NE and Sig Group still not coming up with loopback jack connected at the CSU. Tested board and all test passed.
I've busied, tested and released (results passed), but still OOS-NE.
Don't know if it's setup correctly, but typed "change sync" and something like the following came up:
STRATUM: 4
Primary: 01A16 Secondary 01B18
CIRCUIT PACKS AVAILABLE FOR SYNC
LOCATION TYPE NAME SYNC
01A15 DS1 DSN Y
Should my new DS1 be a primary or secondary?
thanks!
My DS1 config looks like exactly like yours except "SLIP DETECTION" is set to yes and my DCP/Analog Bearer Capability: 3.1Khz. Yes, I'm using an integrated CSU.
Just changed Trunk Group for Channel Selection to my trunk group. Same result...OOS-NE
So is it possible to bring the Signal group...
Just curious if I'm waisting my time trying to test my end first. Trying to make sure my end is good before contacting provider.
Is it possible to bring up DS1/signal group with a loopback jack to show "in-service".
Thanks!
Thanks. Spoke with provider and we went thru our configs and same thing.
Here's my ds1. Does anybody see anything wrong that my rookie eye doesn't see?

This is fustrating :\
I placed a loopback jack on the back of the 120A CSU and ran "test board 01A15" and all test passed. Also get status lights on front of board to match the good T1:
1 = off
2 = Yellow
3 = Off
4 = green
When I do a "status Signal group 3", it states out-of-service. Same...
I did the following and passed, does it mean my end (to the loopback jack) is good?
busyout board 01A15
test ds1-loop 01A15 cpe-loopback-jack = passed
Haven't been able to contact provider yet. Just wanted to test my ds1 end first.
Also on the front of the circuit pack, the four status...
Yes. Using an ICSU 120A & T1 cable. Provider states their link is good.
I'm looking for a way to test from my switch to demarc.
will the DS1-loopback command do anything?
Thanks guys.
I "busy board 01A15, and ran a "test board 01A15" and here are the results (sorry can't copy paste screen from ASA, so re-typing results):
UDS1 138 FAIL
UDS1 139 thru 146 PASS
ISDN-TRK 36 PASS
ISDN-TRK 255 FAIL 8

Howdy yall,
Trying to get some help with installing a new T1 ISDN line to our Definity G3 v.12
I believe I've installed/configured trunk (PRI) and signalling group correctly, but when I "status trunk 1", it comes back out-of-service-NE. What does that mean? More importantly, what is the...
Does anybody know how I can enable caller ID on my analog STE phone?
We have a Definity G3si v12 and looking to enable caller ID on our Secure Telephone Equipment (STE)phones. They are ISDN capable, and the only CP we have is TN556D (will that work).
Our digital phones (2410s) have caller...
We have an Avaya Definity G3si V.12. Looking to find the phone number prefixes assigned to us. Noticed we're able to create a phone number not normally used in our dialplan and it works to dial out. However all we see are the last 4 digits of the phone number.
Tried calling it using our...
IT WORKED!!
Thanks jfh9219. It turns out my data module was not in-service according to the switch, which led me to narrow it down to my data module wiring. Found the problem and fixed it.
I love this forum!
I just installed ASA v2.1 and I'm trying to export but nothing happens. I'm trying to export station/port/name/type info to either a text or excel, but the exporting process is not working.
Am I missing something? Connection? Setting?
Operating on a G3r v12.
THanks.
