MC/VC worked right at first, but there were some problems with our amex settings on the edc server. It looks like someone tried to ran an amex card and then everything went to hell.
I fixed the amex settings and all is good.
well, i checked all that and everything seemed fine, edc is running as a service and all those values proved to be set up properly.
i'm assuming that once the system starts to spool it continues to spool until i remove all those .spl files. So for the time being i'll chalk it up to gremlins...
ok, so i moved all of the files from the master term's edc folder to the boh server's edc folder and renamed the .spl files to .req and it worked, but it was tedious.
I'm sure there is a more efficent way to do this.
now i just need to wait for a customer to run another card to see what...
I just installed an aloha 5.3.26 system and have been working out some kinks. One issue I am having is that none of my credit card transactions are making it to the BOH EDC server. I tracked down in my debout that they are doing a 'mock auth'.
I found about 17 Spooling .spl file in the master...
ok, well i managed to get everything going, the biggest hurdle i was having was sql server 2000 was trying to start after the ctlrl server, and it needed to be the other way aroudn. a quick registry tweak to make the ctrl server dependent upon the sql server starting up and everything is good.
well I did some reading and found out that sql 2005 is not 100% backwards compatible with sql 2000, with my luck that .05% difference in them will be enough to cripple things. so i went ahead and installed sql 2000.
I was hoping someone would be able to provide me with any relevant knowledge...
I have aloha 5.3.26 that i'd like to use with SQL databases. My question is this: I have MS SQL server 2005, my version of aloha only has options to use a SQL server up to 2000. Will i encounter any problems like this? If I will encounter problems, do newer versions of aloha have an option to...
Actually i disabled netbios, and set the lana number to 0 for the tcp/ip and it's working now, of course now i have other error messages that i'm trying to dela with.
Well, it's none of those, but thanks. It seems to me (after discovering the log files in /tmp) that the software is trying to use netbios, I'm installing on windows xp pro, and to be honest i have never used netbios and don't know how to set it up other than installing the protocol. From what...
Ok, so i've figured out it's some kind of network problem, looks to be netbios related. I've never installed Aloha before, but i have been using an older aloha system for about a year. I figured it was cut and dry, but with no included documentation, i'm a bit stumpted. Can anyone walk me...
The deal I mentioned in an earlier post with my friend didn't go through to get his aloha 5.3x system, I'm working on getting one through other channels now.
So I'm still stuck with my Aloha 4.2x or 4.x3x (i'm not sure which version it is off hand) system. This thing is on it's last legs as I...
I purchased a restaurant about 2 years ago with an old Aloha 4.2x system that i have had to duct tape repair endlessly. The problems i have had with this system are just never ending, both hardware failures and software issues.
I am purchasing a complete 5.x system from a friend who's closing...
