Customer has a BCM 400 rel 4.0.2 with Call Pilot down. I am wondering if I use the same VM ports (extensions) from the BCM, would it work?
This seems like a more definite solution than replacing HD and/or motherboard after watching booting on a monitor to se if it sees the HD. It seems to me it...
I am fairly familiar w Octel, but am working with Single Digit Menus for the first time. The SD exists, but the problem is it works during the day but not at night. I think this might be a simple as changing the shedule for COS 6 but am not sure. This Octel differes somewhat from the Single...
I have a MICS 7.0 with PRI, using an ATA for the fax. The fax is dialing out ok and connects, but it will not communicate with the fax on the other end. The error message on the fax machine says "Remote Fax error". I tried calling using the handset and I get fax tone and handshake, so I know...
I need to set up a route for all calls to be forwarded to a long distance number from an extension by Feature 4. I'm not too familiar with T1s, but have the basic procedure. But I am unsure about which destination code to use. Here's the procedure, please tell me if this should work-

I will look into the Trenchet devices, thank you. Of course cost is a concern, but not overly so. My biggest concern is the metal walls on the docks. I believe any wireless device, regardless of frequency operates on radio waves, and would be reflected or blocked by the metal walls. My thought...
I'm looking for a good solution for wireless service for a boat harbor. It is a T-shaped harbor consisting of two areas of water, approximately 350'x 1000' and 50'x 350' with docks built with metal walls and roofs. Although there are about 500 boats docked, there are very few people sitting in...
Are the other phones' MW lights working ok? If so, I would first check the mailbox and lake sure it's not built as a "guest" mailbox with no extension. Find another extension with a light that's working-let's call that one X223. Let's say your extension is X222:
- Log into the Octel
-at the @...
Thanks for your help. I did get the holiday greeting going. The customer wanted to use the night greeting for a holiday greeting. So I know mbx 703 has that greeting so I set up a new info table 508 with attributes 2 and 18 assigning 703 as the greeting mbx and next mbx. It worls fine.

I'm working with an Octel Serenade (200- I think). I have 2 issues- wrong greeting plays at night at wrong time on weekends, and how to record holiday greeting.
The wrong greeting is playing on holidays. Customer wants night greeting to play on holidays, since we don't know how to record...
BTW, I did have the manual. This manual differs from most Avaya/Lucent/ATT manuals in that it does not give an example. ("Submenu number" could have been 1 digit or 2 digits, designated or arbitrary).Nor does it elaborate in detail;Even logging in was different from most Partner voicemails using...
Thanks Tommy! I see now that I was referring to 3 as a "main menu" number, not a "submenu". I had most all the other steps ok. Thanks for taking the time! to explain. Sometimes it's just one thing that can make all the difference.
Menus and submens ARE simple. I've been a telephone tech for over 25 years and I've done this on many other system but not on the standalone Partner Mail.I'm a professional and am not looking for for a free install I just need some help.
In other systems you get a prompt after the menu code-3...

I have a Dell Latitude C600 with Win 98. The display screen is 14 inches, but I can only get a 5or 6 inch screen. The color is only 16 with extra low resolution. I can't change this to a higher setting like 32 bit color or true color. I thought this was the operating system, as it is missing...
I'm having a problem formatting the new hard drive as a clean install for multiboot operating systems. Win98 has reset the format to Fat16. The only way I know to change this to Fat32 is to enable large disk support. Maybe there is a switch command. However, to make other operating systems work...
I formatted it in Fat32. At least that is what I was trying for. I used format c: /fs:fat32
I believe that means the entire hard drive is formatted FAT32. There was only C: on the laptop. D: was CD-ROM.
