Julesbiche is correct with his understanding of Mobility! I have it, use it and it works successfully. I think the problem may be related to calling search space - either on the Remote Device, or the Remote Device Profile. I suggest having a look at all these carefully, although, since calls...
I am trying to schedule a regular export a list of all users on the my CallManager with names and extensions.
I can configure the file I want, and can schedule its creation on a regular basis. What I can't do is export it automatically. Can the file I need (created with BAT etc) be exported by...
Hello... If it's anything like CM 4.2, there will be 2 xml files in the TFTPPath folder. One is called Ringlist.xml, the other is called DistinctiveRingList.xml.
The RingList file will contain all the choices that you see when changing your default ring tone. The DistinctiveRingList will...
Faxes and ATAs can be a bit hit and miss! Make sure that you are using G711 (not G729) compression. Also, I believe that port 2 only ever uses G711 compression, whilst port 1 can use G729 as well, so I normally put faxes in port 2, and phones in port 1.
I have a separate region for faxes, with...

Thanks, but it's not that remote!
Also, I have a lot of other sites to do in the future, and would like to know if there is a suitable midspan POE injector that would work with the older pre-standard handsets.
I am looking to install Cisco 7960G phones at a remote site that currently has Cisco 2950 series switches on site.
I am therefore looking at installing a midspan POE injector, and understand that the Powerdsine PD-6024G/AC/M
may support Cisco Pre-Standard power. Cisco's website seems to confirm...
Thanks, but I probably didn't make it clear that these "users" do not have phones - they are external numbers that are created as users so that they appear in the Corporate directory. Internal users names appear correctly, as they are configured in the Alerting field.
I have a lot of users configured in CallManager (4.2) simply so that they appear in the Corporate directory - they do not have devices associated. Is there any way to make phones display the incoming user's name instead of the incoming number?
