Is there a way to install Remote web workplace on Windows server 2003? All the information I come access is for Windows Small business edition.

Do you have another website with the same name? This could be the issue. Check and make sure this is the only site in your organization with that http://companyweb, and evne if it is the only one change the name.
This might be a dumb question but have you added your users to the sites? You either have to add a group\users and asign them access as a contributor, viewer etc for them to see or view the site, even if they are in AD.
