Burt, One other comment was for confreg '0x' works both on rommon or Router(Config) mode. So you can use it either way. Anyway, I have saved the config and reinstalled the router. Seems to be up and running. Thanks

Hmmm.. well I don't work with this, just found one in the lab and want to use it probably to learn it. Break - ROMMON - change the confreg to 2142 and reset... now when the router boots back it is in Router>... anyway i will dig into it. looks like need to find someone who worked on this stuff...

Can someone tell me how can I break the enable password for cisco 12000?. I have tried the traditional way by BREAK'ing the boot and changing the confreg to 0x142 and then reset. For some reason it does not work. The router still boots as is instead of Router>. Any suggestions?.
