I feel really dumb right now, I have been rebooting the server on a weekly basis through scheduled tasks and every once in a while during the week. I assumed they had been running but when I checked I saw that the server had not been rebboted in three weeks. I rebooted and voila problems solved...

ran recovery console did chkdsk /p and chkdsk /r to no avail, ran repair which crashes with errors so I still can not get this system to boot. I do not have much hair left if anyone can help.

I finally found the drivers and got into recovery consoile, disabled agp440 and nothing changed. Am running chkdsk now will let yopu know how it turns out.

I have tried the recovery console but it does not pick up the hard drive and so quits. What does /p do with chkdsk?

CMOS battery is good, there does not seem to be anything in the bios that is helpful and I only have the option to load setup defaults.

Checked and rechecked, I have only tried 2 of 4 channels and this is all on the MOBO. Is there something in the bios for serial drives? Its an asus k8v board with ami bios, if that helps.

Thanks Sniper, I enabled the filters and that seems to have stopped the spam going out and I am again happily receiving emails.

Where do I go to enable all of this? I know I should know that but please refresh my memory.

as soon as I enable anonymous access my queue fills up with the spam again and I stil am not receiving any mail?

Anonymous authentication is disabled and * is in the address space.
