How do I change a phone from being listed as a 3903 to a 3902? It shows up when I PRT a certain TN.

I pick up the handset and 1... -then I've tried hitting 9 and 1 909 xxx xxxx but before I can finish I just get a disconnected tone -then I hit 9 and dial number without 1 and area code but still get disconnected tone before I can finish.
