Hey guys,
ive run into a trouble that i cant seem to pin down???
i have a customer with a 406v2 and Voicemail Pro. both are 4.1
the problem is that the VM PRO keeps stopping?? i dont know what is making this happen?
any suggestions would be great!
what type of sets are you using?
i had an issue with a 406v2, 30 port digital module, and 5410 sets. i tried to put a 4424D+ set on the system to get more buttons with lights, and the system started rebooting immediately after i hooked it up. we took it off, and the reboot stopped.
hey guys,
i changed the programming to "Direct Dial" and it works fine until the Receptionist gets more than one call at the same time.
when this happens, she has to place ALL incoming calls on hold/park to be able the page/direct dial the extension to notify the person of a call then...
hey guys,
got it to work!
thanks for the help!!
i think it was that i was putting the wrong local gateway ip address. i put the gateway address of the ip office location in the ip route and it started working.
thanks and sorry for the brain fart!!!
i can ping hosts across the network, but i cant ping the IP OFFICE.
in both the 338 and the 114 the VPN shows connected. i can ping other computers on the far end.
i have the IP route in the ip office as follows...

Hey guys,
just wondering how to set a VPN remote phone to plug into ANY network to connect to the IP OFFICE without having to reprogram the phone?

Hey guys,
i have the Netgear FVS338 with a Remotephone that works fine, but when it reboots, it does not save the programming in the phone. in other words, i have to reprogram the phone EVERY time it powers off.
i have the phone set up as a "generic PSK" device. this mode does not give me...
has the way you "voice call" someone changed in the 4.1 software?
we have a customer who uses this feature a lot and hates the way you have to do the "auto intercom" with 4.1. is there any other way to do this.
right now the customer has to press the # button to start the page?
do i need to...
we have a customer who is looking at getting the 406v2 and set up as a "key" system. he wants to be able to press a line button that is in use to see who is on that line.
is this possible?
hey guys,
just wanted you to know that the phone is working great now. you guys were right! i had to make an IP route in the iP office for the remote location IP address.
thanks again!
i posted the same problem a couple of days ago.
the problem im have is when the vpnremote phone reboots, the phone comes back up as a "Avaya Security Gateway" instead of "Generic PSK".
the phone is set to "boot" on reset.
is there anything i can change to fix this?
taker,
that is how its setup now. when it works the phone is in the "genric PSK" mode. when it reboots, it goes in to the "Avaya Security Gateway" mode.
how do i change it to stay in the "generic PSK" mode without having to reprogram every reboot?
