Not sure if this has something to do with the issue, I have host names in the forward lookups which have upper case characters, for example, J-DOE.mycompany.com, and on the face of it, it looks as though it is all of these that are not getting the reverse entries created.
I have one Forward Look Up zone an a Reverse Lookup Zone, some of the entries are not being replicated to the Reverse Look Up Zone, even if I re-apply the "Update associated pointer record". I've only just noticed this today, but I now for fact that it looked Okay a month or 2 ago. Is the only...
Nope, didn't make any difference - it is really odd, but I state again, email is working fine, it's set to check every 5 mins, so even though the Send/receive dialogue is stuck email still comes and goes very 5 mins, just as you'd expect.
I've run the Office Diagnostics and every checks out as...
Outlook2007 on Vista 64-bit
When sending/receiving, the Outlook icon in the lower right corner has a timer icon displayed, the Send/receive dialogue box appears (set to detail view), it gets to 97% and just stays like that, email is sent instantly as I can see it in OWA. It say it is trying to...
I have a Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R m/b which has 2 SATA controllers, the JMicron and the Intel ICH9R.
I currently have my O/S/Programs on the JMicron on single SATA drive - no RAID
All my data is on the Intel Matrix ICH9R using 2 x 250GB SATA drives in a RAID1 configuration.
I decided to hang...
Well, got another external USB floppy drive (Sony this time, the other one is a NEC)and everything works just as one would expect.
I'm still going to use nlite as it is a handy looking tool to have.
Well I've found one thing, the USB floppy drive is not on the MS supported devices, but I have to wait to get another USB floppy drive, in the mean time I'll try the nliteOS out, I'll keep you posted and thanks for all the great advice :-)
I should have said I had already tried setting the BIOS to the following:
set SATA AHCI Enable tp Enable
SET SATA AHCI Legacy to Disabled
But when I tried the above it BSOD shortly after compeleting step5. I have repeated this process many times, same result.
The floppy driver seems to work...
A few things to try.
I used the 32-bit Floppy Configuration Utility for Intel® Matrix Storage Manager to create the driver floppy, I also used the Tyan supplied one as well.
It is odd, as the floppy driver (it is an external USB one) obviously works with it as it loads the driver in, I see...
Here is what I tried.
I have a server which uses a Tyan Toledo i3210W
(S5211) Intel® 3210 Chipset mainboard.
It is running XP 64-bit (clean install) using the onboard Intel ICHR9 SATA RAID, 2 x SATA RAID1 disk in RAID1. – all works
perfectly.
Due to BackExec10.1d not working with XP 64-bit...
Now solved.
I had configured the port forward and sent PPTP to the required server, and, not being familiar with this router/firewall, I assumed that was that. But once the NAT has been addressed, the firewall rules need to be applied i.e. create a new rule and bind it to the correct IP.
SOHO with only the occasional VPN use, so we use the built-in service supplied with Server 2003, using a separate NIC for VPN, using PPTP.
Our VPN worked fine until recently, our firewall/router failed and since then I cannot VPN in. The firewall router had to be replaced. We have an external...

We have a very simple setup at the moment, just one domain, mycompany.com (I believe it should have been named local.company.com - can I this be easily rectified?)and all works fine.
My problems is this, we have a bunch of test PC's which are not allowed on the domain (in case our software goes...
I have further information now and more questions!
To complicate matters further, we have around 30 build/test/processing farm PCs, which we are trying to implement using VM technology, unfortunately this is causing DHCP issues.
Each time ATF launches a virtual machine instance to execute a...
We out source our email, and we are in the process of changing provider, but have hit upon the following snag.
We use BackExec and this has the ability to email job reports and the such like, this works fine with our current provider. The BackExec email client has no provision (that I'm aware...
