Alright an off topic question that just has me worried...
I have three station ports not in use and the orange lights are lit. Should I be concerned?
IF any of you need electrical or alarm system help PLEASE drop me a note. I owe you all very much.
WOW Do I owe you all such an extreme thank you! Jamie77 you were correct about the password and to everyone else who gave me the direction on how to move forward here thank you SO much!
Jamie77 wow thanks! That was it! I initially tried my manager password, I also tried Password when it asked for it, but how stupid of me not to try it a different way. It seems to be loading now. Thanks!!!
amriddle01,
I did what you said and after I enter the system password a window comes up saying "all selected units failed to transfer."
I am connected to the 403 unit using a Cat5 patch cable to my laptops Ethernet port.
Ok well in that case I think I am lost I am in the upgrade menu trying to point the expansion module to what I believe is the correct file. I am 100% clueless at this point. If I go to upgrade I see that there is a version file. How do I make it upload to the expansion unit.
Ok so now that I am actually able to give this the time it deserves I have found that the expansion module actually has newer software. It is version 4.1 I have 3.2.67 can I downgrade the expansion unit?
Ok thanks tipeter,
I am still looking to get the correct/OEM cable once I can confirm the unit works and that when I can actually find one. If anyone here sells one I would be more willing to buy from someone that has helped me than a random company online. Thanks!
Tom,
A majority of this system most of the phones and the 403 were a donation. The 16 port expansion module I bought and donated to the group. I am working with a non profit trying to replace an aging and dying system so I have to work with what I have. The expansion module I bought was...
Tom,
I do not have one yet, but I read somewhere on this forum that a straight through cable would at least get me programed so I can simply plug and go when I get a cable. Any idea where to get a factory cable? I have only found aftermarket online.
Thanks.
Ok I hate asking for help twice in a row but I am stuck here I have read the following threads http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1236892 and http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1375532
I have a 400 16 port digital station expansion module (700184807). When I plug it in using a...
Ragnorak,
Thanks for the reply. What I ended up doing was eventually using a "dummy" extension and making that where the group rings to. I then assigned a line appearance to each set. That solves half my problem as it allows people to take back calls once they transfer them or want to grab...
I guess I am ABLE to figure it out.. I should say I can go into Incoming call route and add a direction for each line to each set but I am looking for the correct way to do this it seems as I am going about it all wrong. Essentially what I want is for a line to rin on certain sets each with...
Hi, I am trying to set up an office without the POTS lines ringing to call appearance buttons and instead to line appearance buttons on each set. Is that possible? I am unable to figure it out.
Thanks AdrePa that recommendation will not work currently because they are "private" lines however I could always add something like a second line and hunt it over there. Thanks! I have alot to learn here this system is very new to me. Thank you again.
Thank you! I hope to ask you one more question. Can you tell me if the system supports caller ID/call waiting. So when I am on a call using POTS line 1 and there is an incoming call waiting call on POTS line 1 will the CID information come up on the phone display. Thank you.
Hi,
Is it possible to using analog dialtone POTS lines from Verizon in the US to pass Caller Id number and name to this system using Avaya digital sets like the 6408D+? I know that it passes number but the name aspect is very important.
Thanks in advance.
