We installed CCA on SSP card on our Conversant 8 but now we are not sure does CCA and text-to-speech can be assigned together on one SSP card. does anybody have any experience with that.

In your ASA tool you have browser (view - browser if it's not running)and on General tab you can find button 'Find unused extension' but first you have to close GEDI or TE if it's running.

I don't know what release of Definity or CM you have but as I know you cannot apply COS on hunt group. It has COR.
Try type 'disp cos' to see how many COS you have administered and also 'list cor' to see administered COR

If you are upgreded firmware on valboard maybe it is not compatible with your appliaction version if you're using it.
