I've played around with it on my 4610SW phones, and unless you're a WML wiz, there's not a lot to be done with it. I could see some value if you NEEDED a telco intranet or some such, as tlpeter states aptly, the PC is much better for browsing.

Check the Windows firewall and make sure that you have an exception set for PhoneManager. The installation should have set this for you, but I've seen it get blocked by domain policies or other weirdness. Works fine for me.

The only thing I've been able to do of any value to me is to create a sample.WML file and stash it on an internal web host, then edit the 46xxsettings.txt file to point to that server. I HAVE on one or two occasions been able to hit a cople of the links in the sample WML that Avaya provided, but...
In the past, I've found that if a user "loses" (deletes) their speed dials, often if you create a new speed dial group with the same name as the "lost (deleted) one, the entries reappear...

You guys are brutal! The REMFs deserve the slagging for not RTFM, but I'm sure glad I'm not as newb as all that! :-)

I retract my horns. Working for a company that refuses to see the value of support contracts (and they only let me keep this one becasue HQ is a Mitel shop and Avaya scares them silly) I unserstand the value of...
Well, not saying it CAN'T happen, so I'll be a bit more cautious in future, but just sayin'...

Guys,
If a lowly IT guy from the data side can pop in here, we purchased our IPO from a reseller here in TX, and not only have they provided STELLAR support, they've provided me with enough knowledege to do a lot of things on my own if possible, and they pointed me to this forum to ask questions...
RDP causes corruption of call flows? News to me! I've been doing that using /console (or /admin from my Win7 box) ever since I've had the IPO 'cause my server room's cold enough to hang a side of beef...never had problem one...hmmm...

For whatever it's worth, I clear the "phantom lights" on trouble extensions thusly:
Create a batch file as:
@echo off
REM DUmp Voicemail Box for Guest Users
del "C:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\Accounts\Extension_Folder\*.wav"
net stop VMProDBService
net startVMProDBService...
So sayeth ye all, and it shall be done! I've pulled the new Mangager and had a look see, and me likey! I'll be doing this in a couple weeks. My reseller assures me (!) that I'll also be clearing up some other nigglies I've had as well, like getting disconnect/reconnect alerts from like 60...
TomMills, you are correct, that WAS me. I've been trying to get the greenlight for the upgrade and I think I've finally got it as of late yesterday afternoon. I'm aware of some of the new features, but not all, but I'm mainly looking forward to a stable, lower-maintenance platform.
Thanks to...
Yes, I know NOW that 4.0 was a lemon! :-) That's why I'm trying to sell mgmt on the upgrade. Their call, not mine...anyway, Out of Band DTMF is indeed checked on the extension. If it bears mentioning, DTMF doesn't work for PhoneManger Pro for non-VoIP users, either...
Thanks again...

IPOffice 412 runnning 4.0 (14), Voicemail Pro in Intuity mode; users running the PhoneManager Softphone can't pass DTMF. This worked under 3.2 but stopped after we went to 4.0. I'm contemplating 4.2, but until I get around to that, is there something I'm overlooking?
Thanks...

Don't waste time on the anti-stat mats, I had the same problem in my own cube, and I got one of those. Didn't work. Connected an ESD cable to my chair and tied it to my desk frame, knocked it right out...
