We recently had a serious server crash and we had to reinstall from scratch and restore the raw data files.
I have attempted to restore the backup exec directory and got nothing but errors. I ended up having to revert back.
I did see one spot on the web stating the XML files were all you...
On more thing Crow, Burt nailed the code, what he wrote was the EXACT answer.....
access-list 101 permit tcp host 192.168.1.3 host 172.64.18.254 eq 80
access-list 101 deny tcp 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255 host 172.64.18.254 eq 80
access-list 101 permit ip any any
You then apply it to the inbound...
Ahh yes, if you look on the top of the page on that question (you have scrol bars) you have to scroll the screen to see the IP addresses. it was 192.168.1.x meaning 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.3 and you had to allow like 1.4 but block all others.
I hate to say it but I think the scroll got ya :-(...
On the question I had the IP addresses were given. Sounds like they changed the question around a bit if I am thinking of the same question. This is the access-list question correct?
Rick
Here use this. I used this when I went in for my exam. I made it to help give me the little push I needed to pass.

Awesome job !!!
I hope to be able to add my name to this thread after I re-take my exam (third time coming up) >.<
Any way , awesome job !! Now take a long deserved vacation :-) !!

I am currently taking a course on Cisco ASA and PIX devices. I asked my instructor (CCNP and two other Cisco certs) about this question. He has seen this question and knew exactly what I was talking about. He said this is a Cisco "stump" question. He said the question is not scored as there...
I too am having the same problem. Though I am a bit different. I can ping the local net 10.8.7.x but not 10.8.7.x. Though people on the 10.8.7.x net locally can ping 10.8.8.x no problem so I know it has something to do with the ASA.
Honest, I am not trying to piggyback your question. :-)

I agree with you Burt about using "real" routers and switches but they are rather expensive and not always readily available. The sims are good as well if you can get a hold of them.
Too many "paper" MCESs out there so I know where your coming from.
Gharus:
The MAC question you are talking...

That is the closest I have found. Using this with certkiller I got very close. I will take it again at the end of the month.
Good luck
OMG !! Burt you nailed it !!!
I knew it was something so simple as that. Now I just feel way stupid!!
You got it !! That is EXACTLY how it needs to be done.
Though it is not an extended list as the host will need more access than simply web(80). I believe it is a simple host to host...
I have a rather simple question but I know I blew it on the exam so I am looking to my peers for CLI as to how they would approach this.
You have a subnet with 5 hosts 192.168.1. 1,2,3,4,5
This is connected to a router which is connected to a web server 172.64.18.254 on a different network...
GHARUS,
I too had the same issue with the same question and I too blew it. How can you find the destination MAC address.
I know for a fact I blew this entire question.
Last I knew and I could be wrong here is if you have 5 questions and you miss one of them the entire question is wrong...
