I am by no means an expert, but I have futzed around with this for my call centers.
Make a call from a digital phone on the switch, making sure you know the TN of the set. Go into LD80, dial the CDN then TRAD the phone's TN. That should tell you what you need. You can do the same going...
Hello, all!
I have PCA running on both of my Nortel Opt 11c switches, and it works great.
I have a user that will be using PCA and his cell phone is a long-distance call. Our LD provider requires a 5 digit access code for long-distance calling. If we put the number in, sans access code, it...
Are any of the fibers getting smushed by anything that might be touching the cover? Like on our 11c's, the bottom metal grate is movable and our fibers have gotten pinched between the grate and the wire chase in the back of the cabinet. I don't know how the 81c is put together, so this may not...
As I have come to find out from the helpful members here...a bdct mus route allows up to 64 users if you have the music broadcast package. Add more routes for more users. If you don't have more than 64 on hold at one moment, it is pointless to do so. This doesn't use up a conference card.
A...
D'oh! I should have said..."I set out mus route on the switch at the call center to bdct and now all callers should get moh."
I dropped the route from the trunk and config'd symposium for ringback on hold, set bdct to yes on the route and then put everything back.
I guess I'll see tomorrow if...
Hello, all, again!
I am having a problem with OTM 2.2 and connecting to one of my switches.
If I use the terminal connection in OTM, it gives two choices...overlay passthrough and VT220. On one of my switches, both work. On another, only the VT220 works...the overlay passthrough on TTY15 does...
Thanks for the info...
I checked out our switches and we do, indeed, have Music Broadcast. I set our mus route on the switch at the call center and now all callers should get moh.
Thanks!

I have a little MP3 player on my switch to handle moh. This moh is for the switch-at-large, as well as our call center. It seems to work fine that I have heard. Our call center can have as many as 45 people on hold at one time.
My question is this: is there a limit to the number of people that...
This is probably not very helpful, but here is an extract from my switch of one of our dispatch phones...

Hello!
All of my call center phones have a fixed dn programmed on key 3. I have this dn set as the agent's personal extension in SECC 3. This seems to work out ok, seeing that the agents have their own cell in the prison...er, cube in the call center...for now.
We are liable to expand any...
Good catch, Spunky! Didn't even see that one...
Now I am getting confused...
If the call comes in to 2068 from outside and 2068 is already engaged, it would short hunt up the chain for a free line, still under the marp of 2068?
If it short hunts to no avail, it would then hunt to 6067 or fna...
You could set up a logoff script to copy the PST to a network share when the person logs off. You have to consider, though, that you would be trading one form of network storage for another.
If you have full backups of the ExchDB and do individual mbox backups, there really may be nothing to...
Calling the telco...pfffft! Might as well just listen to your music-on-hold for an hour or two.
Follow Spunky's suggestions and switch your clocking and bounce your CSU. You can try switching your PRI cards with each other and see if that helps. Be sure to switch the daughterboard, too, if one...
