As obtsystems stated, the system alternates ringing to avoid overloading the ring generator. We thought, with only two ports set to ring, that wouldn't come into play, but the system will ring ports 1 through 8, then ring other ports, then 1 through 8, etc. We didn't try setting one of ports 9...
Thanks obtsystems. The system will ring any CO at any extension desired. We discovered, through testing a dozen extensions, the extensions would only ring simultaneously if they were jacks 01 through 08. We didn't test to see if that held true for jacks 09 through 16 and 17 through 24...
We found that only jacks 01 through 08 would ring simultaneously. All other jacks (09 through 24) will ring on the second and alternate rings. I thought we'd be able to assign Extension numbers to specific jacks, to resolve the alternating rings, but the programming (#003) wouldn't store any...
After an office downsizing, the TD1232 was reset to factory defaults, all CO's ring on all jacks, then Program #603, where all CO's were set to NoRNG on all jacks EXCEPT jacks 01 and 24, which set for Immdt. We don't want to exclude the other extensions from picking up incoming calls, when they...
On TD1232, Jacks 01 and 24 are programmed to ring immediately. All others are NoRing. The odd thing is, the jacks are ringing at alternate times: When CO lines (1 thru 4) ring, Jack 01 will ring once, then Jack 24 will ring, then Jack 01, etc. Is this a function of Jack 24 being on the TD170...
Thanks. We had the manual information as above, but, we were unable to store the Area 1 setting as anything other than the default C;E1;E2. As earlier stated, our only solution was to move the TD170 up to Slot 2 and, with the default C;E1;E2, complete the setup.
After clearing a TD1232, with no equipment changes, we could not get the system to accept E1 or E2 in the Slot 1 area in System Programming (#109, with power cycle). Our only solution was to move the TD170 up to Slot 2 and move on. Any suggestions as to why programming would not store the...
As the system is functioning as required, with exception of one new extension that needs to immediately ring on all CO lines, we were extremely reluctant to attempt the Clear switch password discovery/reset process and risk losing all current programming if a mistake is made (during business...
obtsystems, you were correct. Program | **1234 was to USR-PGM NO?->
System owners no longer (no surprise) have claimed documentation with installer login password (default *#1234 invalid). Any suggested alternate passwords? Thanks
In Program Mode, I'm logging in with the default **1234. That's the manager login and *#1234 is the installer login? (We may have to guess at the installer password, if not the default.) Haven't encountered this on other D1232's we've installed, though I haven't had to revisit those...
Called in to make a minor modification, making one extension ring immediately on six CO lines, matching that of the port 1 (OPE) extension, I cannot enter program codes manually. After logging into the program mode, I can browse the first dozen codes (001 through 013) but, when I attempt to...
