We have multiple WEBS towers (made by Talk-A-Phone) bridged to the same line that pick up when you call that extension a device called a ZPS does this. As we have been adding more though the chances of them picking up simultaneously has decreased. My boss is looking at ways to get all towers on...
The IP phone screens used to shut off after a certain amount of screen saver time but now they are always on. I think it happened after the last firmware upgrade. Is rolling back completely or partially an option? We use 9630 and 9620 style phones. Thanks
Thanks for the help but for some reason I can't get in using the browser. I do get the first page with the warnings for unauthorized use but when I click continue the login page doesn't come up. Our vendor thought it was strange that I don't get the digital certificate pop up before it tries to...
The time on the phones is about 3 minutes slow when will the system recalibrate? It's an 8710 system and I think it does it automaticly but I'm not sure when. When I try set time the time fields are low lighted so I can't do it manually like I used to before the upgrade to 8710.
Just an update apparently our software load we are running doesn't support the 9620c. Will we upgrade? Will we just use 9630 only to avoid the upgrade? Stay tuned:)
The 9620s still don't work and our vendor support is slow for some reason can some one here answer these questions about firmware updates?
Do I just copy the new files into the http server directory? Do I overwrite any files or directories that are the same?
Yes they have a USB port... Although the vendor thought that the invalid file message wasn't the problem he does want us to get the latest firmware on the network. I sent the link to the network guy but he was to busy assembling a new data center.
After doing a mute craft to check all that stuff while I had our vendor on the phone it all looks correct all the adresses and settings. They are not SIP if that helps Hmmmm...
We are trying to change most of our phones over to VOIP. The problem is the 9630 phones come right up without a hitch but the 9620 phones do not. They get stuck discovering the clan which makes me think there are some files that need to be added to the network. But how can that be if they...
Thanks for the responses I am trying to get the files from our vendor. I can't seem to get them directly from Avaya there is probably a reason for that.
Just doing some testing with our first 9630 gig IP phone... Can't seem to get it to work it gets stuck at "MCIP AD" acording to the network guy. The phone displays discover... with the address of our medpro cards alternating every 10 to 15 seconds. Does this thing use TFTP or HTTP? Do we need to...
We have an Avaya switch with AVST voice mail when the operator is not there they want internal calls to "0" to go to the auto attendant (call processor in AVST lingo) just like they do for external calls to the LDN. The problem is if you are calling from an extension that has a voice mail box...
Thank you that was what I needed I have a test vector set up that seems to work well. I think step 6 should be go to step 9 but I got the idea. I didn't know how to ad an announcement but when I did a "li ann" there were some unused ones already in the system so that worked out well. I suppose...
Thanks for the reply I like the password vectoring idea but I have limited knowledge about it. If you could give me some more detail on what the feilds should say cause nothing jumped out at me when I right clicked the first field on the vector screen... They should really send me to vectoring...
We have a wide area emergency broadcast system(WEBS) with no password protection that needs to be locked down so only a few select emergency people and or recording device/extension can call into it during a crisis to make a public anouncement. We might only need to allow the recording device to...
x2123 and x2124 can not bypass greetings by pressing “1” and leaving a message but x2125 can. I tried making their configurations on the voice mail Callxpress server identical to x2125 with no luck. They said it used to work for everyone before they got phone upgrades from 8410D to 2420 Am I...
I'm not sure what you mean by "set up priority calling" Susan... Any ways this problem was brought up again yesterday by some one in the answer group. So I tried using a bridged appearance on her phone and added that number to the answer group while removing her number from it. Thinking that...
