UPDATE:
you blokes were absolutely correct...tried a bunch of different codes...(before I came back here)...found one & edited it 'till it worked...did all that...& the resized image looked bad, anyway
(even tho I started off w/ a larger image, so as to avoid loss of resolution when...
that's no true, I don't believe...
...I've seen it, on the web.
like I said, I don't care if it's in a div or simply addressed as the background image in the body, or in any capacity, as long as it works.
& what I meant by 'width only' was...of course the entire image is rescaled in width &...
hello again...
I would like to have a background image (.jpg) automatically resize to fit any browser's window...& I read somewhere on the web it should be accomplished by placing the image in a layer (as a background image); & then set the layer size to 100%.
can someone please tell me how...
UPDATE...
migrated my site(s) over to the Linux platform (from Windows)...& now the '301 Redirect' (in the form of an .htaccess file) works great.
(my recording studio's site had been a set of pages on my old domain...& was redesigned & placed on it's own domain. didn't wan't to lose my SE...

[have been busy setting up recording equipment & forgot to come back...thanks a million...very good, useful info...everybody...!!!]
I have some additional questions...[some of which go tho what ChrisHunt said]...(sorry, but I'm still a neophyte at this). I'll number them for easier...

thanks much.
I also grabbed the broadcom nic diagnostic utility AND the latest driver, from Dell.
maybe that'll do it...as an easy 1st try.
thanks again,

UPDATE:
BlueScreenView showed me the following:
STOP: 0x100000d1 (0x48422ecd, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x86203c88)
NDIS.sys -Address 0xf7698b6c base at 0xf7692000
In the main view, where it highlights problem drivers, it highlighted the following:
NDIS.sys
ntoskrnl.exe
any ideas...
mhkwood & linney...
1) I had the numbers wrong, I believe. I looked at it again today; & the number sequence looks very much like the one found in the typical BSOD shown in a screen shot for a utility I found today; BlueScreenView:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html
2) his...
yo again, mates...!!!
my old machine...running XP Pro...that I sold to my friend...got a 'blue screen of death stop error' message...but the stop #'s read differently from other errors of the same type I searched out on the web.
his reads: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. STOP...0x488422ecd...
hello again...!!!
(woke up wondering about this in the middle of the night, last nite):
Background: my recording studio's site used to be a set of pages on my main site (an indie music promotion site). it now has it's own domain...
...but...
Q: The hosting plan I went with...w/...

no...thanks...I found out what was wrong...I didn't have the Library window activated, for some reason. Once I did that, everything was there, for editing.
So...here's the new site...[it was a subsite within moonjams, but I wanted it on it's own domain, which I set up w/ GoDaddy...
oldnewbie...
sometold told me I can't edit the .swf...that I have to open the .fla...
...which I did...
but regardless...whether I'm in the .fla or the .swf, I'm not seeing anything relative to text in the library.
thanks,
BR
[hope this is the correct forum]...
I have an .swf file that runs on the splash page of my web site
[ http://www.moonjams.com/moonmix_studio.biz.htm ]
I need to edit the text.
I'm not a stupid man...but it's been 4 years since I configured the thing; & I cannot remember how to do this for...
Thanks very much, everyone...
Quick question:
These code entries...they get plugged into the Criteria box...as per normal, right?
Also...Ginger...is what's written here your code...or is it different?
Thanks again,
BR
Hello Again...
In my company's database...which keeps architectural info & conditions for a homeowners' association...I need to run queries from time to time...that do not have a strict criteria definition.
My inspector in the field, for example, enters info on 'Satellite Dishes'...but...
OK...
The Update Query worked like a charm...except for one little thing...in the column that got the "~"...everything else that exists in that column was deleted.
I., e., those columns where the "~" will reside (after the update query) is a column labeled Comments. Every database attribute...
PHV...
Thanks...but I have no idea how that would get implemented. I'm used to creating Queries in Design View...drag/dropping whatever Table components I need...assigning my criteria...& hitting the Run button.
What exactly is an "update query"...& how would I plug in a set of instructions...
