I knew there was something I was forgetting, lol... The ATL boards.
I'm going to have to contact the customer and find out. I know they were in the process of switching over to all MLX sets, but there still may be some BIS phones out there.
Thanks TTT. That's what I was planning to do if it would indeed convert. I'd rather have it fail in the lab then onsite in front of the customer.
And merlinman, it looks like I lucked out and got one of the factory CKE4 processors. See sys setup below...
Slot # 0: CKE4 CPU
A Slot #...
Other than replacing the processor w/ the Magix style, is it possible to convert the existing Legend R3.1 translations to Magix R4.0? Never attempted this big of a release jump and not sure it will convert correctly.
Working on an S8700 server (duplicated) running CM 2.2.0. All was well until the server room A/C died over the weekend and everything overheated.
I cleared the alarms for the high temp and both servers are running alarm free. Problem is when I click on Temp/Voltage from the webbrowser, one of...
Update- I changed the dial 0/timeout action to disconnect and tested. When I call and press 0 is disconnects my call and I am able to call it right back, so when the Messaging is set to disconnect it works, but when not programmed to do so, it hangs the line.
Alright, I've changed both groups to Linear ring, and changed the dial 0/timeout action to leave a message in the gen. mb. This all works correctly.
I set my reliable disconnect to ON again for these trunks, and changed the Hold timer back to long as it usually is.
Now when I call, I get the...
I noticed that when I tried to login to the VM and did not have the correct password enough times that when the Messaging hung up on me the line actually disconnected, as I called back on that same line.
I guessed the password the 2nd time around and got in. After some digging, I found that...
Ok merlinman, I changed the Hold Disconnect to short. No change there. I also changed the Reliable Disconnect to NO for these lines. Still nothing.
What other things might you have in mind to test?
Having an issue w/ a Merlin Messaging not disconnecting calls on 3 copper trunks. I have them set to LS-Disconnect YES in the switch, and the ports are rotary enabled (which shouldn't matter for this).
Verizon has disconnect set on their lines. If they test at the Demarc, the calls disconnect...
If this users home is called from a cell phone, I'm told it does not occur.
The only thing that I can think of is that a fax machine/modem somewhere in the building is half-tapped onto the same wiring as that analog extension, and when it hears the beep it begins to attempt to talk to it as it...
CM 5.1.2.416.4 on S8730 Duplicated Servers w/ G650's and 2 PN's
Have a weird issue that I've never seen before and hoping someone can shed some light on. User at analog ext. calls outbound to her house (local call) and gets their answering machine. Leaves a message as normal. This machine...
Trying to help a customer work around some coverage issues and want to see if this idea will work or not. The idea is to have calls to a particular group ring to another ext., problem is that ext. is already part of another calling group and we all know you cannot be a member of 2 calling...
Ok, so that explains that, thanks!
You state the TN566 would have 3.1 software, even though when logged into the Audix, its a 3.2. Is this just another "the way the switch sees it" deal?
Looking at replacing the MFB on a customers Definity Audix R 3.2. When I dial into the SWITCH, in list con all, it shows this circuit pack as a TN566 V7, but when I dial into the AUDIX itself, it shows as a TN567 V7.
How is this possible? Wouldn't the card type be the same in both reports, or...
System is a G3siV8. I am trying to figure out a transfer issue they are experiencing involving a Transtalk 9031DCP.
What is happening is this: Call rings to the Transtalk and is answered. The caller needs to be transfered to another one of their locations. If the person on the Transtalk...
Just thought I'd post the resolution to this isssue. It seems that the Expansion Interface board was the cause after all. I tested it repeatedly and got a fail on one of the tests. After replacing the board, no issues.
Thanks!
Jay
Thinking outloud here while working on a G3rV8. Customer is saying they are getting static on inbound/outbound calls, station-to-station, and also on VM messages on this entire switch. This is part of a large network of Definity switches and none of the others have this issue.
The only alarms...
