Thank you! 2010 actually does not use QAT files anymore, but that information allowed me to find the information I required The file is now an *.officeUI and is found in one of the following folders: In Windows 7 or Vista - C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office...

    Multiple Budget Sets

Thanks for your quick responses! I can only find reference to Budget Set 1..... We are running Accpac Advantage Series Corporate Edition 5.1A (and unfortunately cannot upgrade....)

    Multiple Budget Sets

I'm running 5.1 and it clearly states you can have Multiple Budget sets, but I have no idea how to set them up and have reviewed all areas I can think of. We have one budget set up for the current fiscal year, but would like another to track ongoing forecast. Thanks!

    Integration Access Pak

Thanks, Ettienne. I wondered if this may be a bigger "issue" but decided to leave it until Monday! I will (re)install the service packs we have and hopefully that will eliminate any other issues.

    Integration Access Pak

Solved! It was the XAPI32.DLL file in Accpac\Runtime folder. For some reason, it was dated 2000 and the one on my laptop is 2003. Once it was updated, it worked like a charm! Thanks, Tracey

    Integration Access Pak

Yes, Accpac is running and linked to our data. The 3rd party software is not linking to Accpac in order to transfer data back and forth. If there is "nothing special to do" I suspect the issue is with our 3rd party software. Thanks Tracey

    Integration Access Pak

I'm setting up a new machine and we have 3rd party software that communicates to Accpac 5.1A thru Integration Access Paks. However, I cannot get the software to connect on the new machine. It is the same licence as another machine on the network - the other machine is being replaced and is not...

    FR Compatability with Excel 2007

One of our machines has recently been upgraded to Office 2007. When running an FR report, we are seeing odd results - for example, a formula that once read "=sum(G8:G9)" now reads "=sum(R[-2]C:R[-1]C)". Also, all formatting is lost when running the report. We are running Accpac 5.1. Does...

Stub Year - Need to adjust Fiscal Periods

4/4/5 represents the number of weeks in each period of the quarter. There are three periods in a quarter which is the equivalent of 13 weeks (i.e. 4+4+5=13). There are four quarters in a year, so therefore 3 periods x 4 quarters = 12 periods in a year. Alternatively, 13 weeks in a quarter x...

Stub Year - Need to adjust Fiscal Periods

ettienne: What do you mean by allocate periods to the transactions on import? Are you suggesting we change the export file before importing? We've gotten in touch with a service provider but Sage does not support our version anymore and therefore, the add-on program is not available for 5.1...

Stub Year - Need to adjust Fiscal Periods

Thank you all. One last question - does it matter when we create the new company and run the export/import? Can I close the current fiscal year and then I have to the end of the stub year to make the changes? Thanks again, Tracey

Stub Year - Need to adjust Fiscal Periods

Good point! Another related issue - is there any way to adjust the fiscal years? What I mean is, that May 1, 2008 started Fiscal 2009, but when we move to the new year end, we will want to "reuse" 2009 starting for Jan 1, 2009.

Stub Year - Need to adjust Fiscal Periods

We are changing our year end from April 30th to December 31st. I am currently working on closing April 30, 2008 and setting up the calendar for the balance of this calendar year and only need 8 periods, not 12. What is the best way to do this? Can I simply ignore the last four periods...

Running Accpac on local and networked databases

I'd love to be able to dial in, but it is company policy to not allow access to our servers in that manner. Thanks, guys! Tracey

Running Accpac on local and networked databases

I want to be able to access the data for analysis purposes while I am out of the office (i.e. working from home). I don't run transactions, I am responsible for the management reports and its much simpler if I am able to run all the previously defined reports directly from Accpac and be able to...

Running Accpac on local and networked databases

Sorry, didn't know. I merely wanted to work with my data offline, not use the software for another company.

Running Accpac on local and networked databases

We have a networked version of Accpac and I would also liek to copy the data to my laptop and access the data offline. However, when my laptop is not connected to the network Accpac won't load, the error message states that there is no licence for the product. Can it be setup to check either...
