    I would have never though of putting a jack near the switch I just crimped a RJ11 head to the switch end and plug it into the ACS, I am using RJ45 jacks though and those are puched down, the cable are running in the attic very close to electrical wires not near any motors though dont really want...

    I purchased the Avaya ACS R6.0 no additional cards just the system, If I connect a standard telephone to the system using the newly installed jack in the house I hear static in the background, if I bypass the jacks and hook a standard telephone non-avaya to any port directly there's not static...
