I've setup user dialing shortcodes from the shortcodes tab under users. My problem is with these shortcodes [9]xxxxxxx and [9]1xxxxxxxxxx. Even though I have them both in the user's shortcode list, I cannot make a 1 plus the number call. It gets to 7 digits and then just disconnects.

I have an IPO 406v2 (3.2.54), and have setup the IPO and voicemail pro server to send out emails via smtp using the copy option, under the users voicemail tab from Manager. The only thing is, it just sends an alert and not a copy of the .wav attachment voicemail. I know I've seen this working...
Can't figure this one out, after upgrading I can't forward calls out of a hunt group unless I have a real phone attached. I have a 406v2. I used to have a phantom user in a huntgroup that is forwarded to an external number... this worked fine. Fwd unconditional is on. fwd huntgroup is on...

Don't know why you say that, because these servers support RFC-868 and I actually have synced an ip office on the lan that had interenet access to one of these. Once I set my time offset correctly it synced up fine with the correct time. Of course...
Looks exactly like the 5620 with the backlight added. Has anyone tried running these on a 3.1 406V2? The 5621 came out with release 3.2, but I'm sure if I add the 3.2 46xxx.scr and the appropriate bin files for that IP phone. It should work on the IP office on a 3.1 release.
The customer...
I have a IP412 3.2.17 release with IP hardphones. (56xx series) External calls go across the PRI (which is set to DMS100), Whenever an IPoffice user calls an external number that is busy, the call disconnects immediately and gives the user no indication of a busy signal. This causing havoc as...
Can you have a digital phone and analog phone ring at same time without making a group. Can this be done yet?
I thought twinning would be the answer on 3.2, but if the locale is set North America, we don't get the option on the twinning tab for internal, just mobile.
Any ideas?
Acutally BigWill, you can set the analog station port to IVR on the IPOffice, which will in turn, send a disconnect clear to the UPAM. That will disconnect the page successfully everytime and you don't need to mess with VOX Delay timers. Avaya seems to final have fixed the IVR port setting on...
ok, so do you use VLANs in any of your IP installations? I do, and I have mine set to L2Q=1, as that's what the docs had shown. But now, reading further, Avaya recommends this be set to L2Q=2 for IP offices only.
Would having this L2Q setting enabled cause any problems?
oh they know now, and it would seem to be a user training thing, and the thing is, they are constantly physically moving desks, remodeling, etc... Hotdesking won't solve anything when you still have to physically unplug the phone and move it.
Ideally, if people moved, they could take their...
Cool, so this can be done on a per phone basis. The thing is, I don't actually want to disable to the hub feature, some phones users do use the Phy2 to plug their computer into, they are just technically challenged when it comes to actually plugging their phones/computer in. It seems that 1 or...
Just what exactly does this do? The installation guide for IP phones says that for IP office this setting should be set to L2Q=2 (off). Why? and what does it do? Is this different than the QoS 802.1Q setting? or have anything to do with VLANs?
Thanks
My customer has their IP phones on a seperate VLAN and uses Extreme Networks Summit switches. Their users move around a lot and are sometimes accidently plugging in both ports on their IP phone (in this case a 5602sw) to live ethernet jacks creating a loop, and bringing down the whole network...
Thanks for the response magix2kewl and ipofficedude.
I do not have any duplicate users, no punctuation in any of the names, no duplicate members in the huntgroup, etc...
Hmmm, I have direct media path checked and Extreme Network switches with Layer 2/3 QoS mechanisms in place.
ipofficedude...
I've tried to setup a Page All for my IP phones. I have a group of about 100 phones, mixture of 5610, 5602, and 5620's, with a majority the 5602. All the codec's are G.711 U-Law. According to Avaya and my own monitoring, a page call from an IP phone to a group of IP phones will only use 1 VCM...
After a rebootable change to the 406v2, I get this in sysmonitor. Is this something to do with the exp modules?
