No wireless access on one machine

Really weird... Signal is full strength. All bars are visible. Dynamic IP is set. Made sure there are no static IP/DNS settings. The NIC is picking up the correct outside IP from my ISP and displays correctly how it was before this happened. I can hook up an Ethernet cable and access the...

    missing WINDOWS files

I made the mistake of erasing it in the Recovery Console. Checked in the Windows website to find a repair and it said to follow the steps. I assumed the only corrupt file was within one folder and copied that file and proceeded to delete the original. To my lack of skill in this area, I...

Portable USB Drive not in Win. Explorer

I've had the same problem. USB works fine out of the box, then a few weeks later, it's not recognized. I uninstalled the drivers, plugged in USB, and allowed it to reinstall. Worked fine. Hope the same goes to you.

    PFN-list corrupt

Can I get more info about this prompt from the blue screen of death??? The research that I have found only says that there is bad memory in my computer. I don't believe this is the case. This PFN-list corrupt only shows up when I have IE left on for long periods of time. Where I work, I have...

Excel locking up when accessing network drive

yes SP4 is installed in both. The other techs and I suspect that because there are over 2,000 files the program hangs up. We suggested that the users should split the files into separate folders. Good idea??

Excel locking up when accessing network drive

In Excel I try to access a file that is 4 steps into the folder tree (Drive/Folder/Folder/FOLDER). Every time I try to access FOLDER, Excel locks up. The FOLDER is in a networked server and it contains over 2,000 folders inside. Would the problem be that that folder contains so much info(5GB)...
