TISTech1,
Are the remote sets obtaining the HTTP file server address from the customer's voice DHCP scope (opt 242) or is the IPO serving DHCP? The voice scope for that remote subnet could point to a different file server than what is at the main site.
In most file server utilities, you should...
Hi gang,
Have CCR 6.1.4.4 installed on a Server 2008 64-bit OS, SQL 2008 Express R2. 4Gb memory. IP Office 412 at R6.1.20. CCR runs rock-solid for about 7-8 business days then a SQL Database communication fault occurs in CCR.
I noted today that the SBCCDashboardHelper.exe process is using a...
Verify the compression mode of the IP Line for the SCN on both sides is set to G729. If the far-end site phones sets are also IP sets, I might suggest locking down the compression mode of the extension to G.729 as well and then repeat your test.
Copied over and restored the backup.sql database and restarted the One-X Portal service as documented. One-X user profiles created/modified by the users did not carry over in the backup.sql.
The other odd thing is the backup config OneX-DB-Bkp.zip file (that was created with the Superuser...
Hi gang,
Anyone performed a restore of One-X Portal to a new/replacement server to retain the user profiles? The R6.1 Avaya KB mentions the configuration is backed up as backup.sql in the bin folder of the one-X Portal for IP Office application (default C:\Program...
Joe,
When it stops working, VM passcode changes or the creation of the new vm account folder for the user [based on the name change] don't happen. Suckerpunch the service and vola - password works or the folder then appears. A VM debug may be needed here.

Hey gang,
R6.1.20 on both IP500v2 and VMPro. VM ports fall to zero, no recordings. When merging the config for voicemail passcode changes or name changes, the VMPro intermittently requires you to restart VMPro services to sync it to create the account in the VM directories or passcode.
I know...

Hi gang,
Avaya H.323 IP Telephone Installation doc dated 3/2011 indicate the IP500v2 with memory card acts as an HTTP file server for up to 50 IP phones. Is this simultaneous connections? Is this setting satisfactory for very large deployments of sets [270+?] or is a 3rd...
Hello,
Is anyone running 5600-series VPN phones with a Sonicwall NSA 240 security gateway? Tek-Tip 190 for the Sonicwall Tz170 Router was helpful however the tunnel fails to build with an IKE phase 2 no response error when trying to connect my lab 5610 VPN phone to the customer's security...
tlpeter,
You reference a 96xxvpn.txt file. Where is this located? Not found on my IP500v2 or in the Manager root directory in 6.0.18.
Is the "VPN Access Code assigned by the administrator" that is referenced when pressing the Avaya (A) Menu button set in the 96xxvpn.txt file?

Anyone seen an issue of a 5610 set not firmware upgrading beyond R 2.300. Callsvr and Filesvr settings have been doublechecked on the sets in question. Other 5610 sets on the same network upgrade fine. Reregistering the sets via SSA, manual unplug have no affect. TFTP server is up.

Andrew,
As Jamie77 indicated, you will need to flag the call as answered by VM (on the reporting tab of the Leave Mail action) at the point in your call flow when you offer the Leave Mail action. Please note: The Lost Calls report shows any call that goes to voicemail or a dropped call.

Hi all,
Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday.
Wanted to take a poll on the use of "Enable Fastart" in regards to IP Trunks used with SCN Voice Networking enabled. Avaya SCN docs state to not use faststart while 4.2 Manager docs say to use faststart when also enabling SCN.
My past...
Fixed my issue in MSDE. See Tech-Tip 175. Used MS Excel to generate (edit-fill-series) 182,225 15-digit numbers to match call files. Pasted this to redo.txt file and dropped into the VRL directory in VMPro. Just like magic...database restored.
Thanks for your comments!

My guess is you are using NI2 signalling. I had severe issues with clock slips (about 70-80 per 15min) shown in System Status and users complaining of dropped calls with a One Comm PRI. One Com was repeatedly called out and stated the loop was clean. SOE was replaced in the process but slips...
