You may want to check out the troublshooting section of the documentation for rcc setup & operations guide. Is there a user logged into the RCC web server? If not, that's an issue.
The T7406 wouldn't be the only phones to be sold in this solution, unless you use external paging. You can page from a T7406, but they aren't a speaker phone. Paging speakers have come a long way and you should be able to find some that would blend with home decor. There are a some things you...
Why not a Norstar w/T7406 sets that act like T7316E sets? I would recommend at least having one T7316E set on the system. You could also try BCM50 w/T7406 sets.
At this point, I would recommend you contact the company that installed the replacement unit when you had the lightening hit. These events are concerning:

Sorry, I see that you mentioned the Norstar is MICS 6.2. Is the CP less that 3.0? Are the lights flashing or anything on the CP before you pull the plug to cycle the power?
If you had a qualified Nortel rep install the replacement equipment, you should contact them about this issue. There...
Randy,
I have heard about the $300 charge from Nortel, as everyone has been notified of this. I read your note and thought you may be the same Randy I have spoken to in the past at my previous employment (FNS in upstate NY). I am a Nortel certified design specialist and engineering specialist...
You may want to check your overflow routing setup. It sounds like it isn't functioning properly. I can't definitely say that is the case; only that it sounds like what is happening.
You have your outgoing route to your virtual trks and then a normal mode route as overflow with the overflow...
Is the CP plugged into a UPS? If so, is the UPS having issues. If not, is the system plugged into one? If system is, then plug CP into same one. If no UPS, then be sure the power supply isn't the one that went with the CP that was hit by lightening. Also check that it isn't plugged into an...
Are you 100% sure you have created the mailbox as an Info mbx? When you set it up did you do so via the phone or GUI interface? Normally, an Info mbx will not have the ability to hear messages because you can't leave messages. That's why I ask if you are sure it's an Info mbx. If it is a...
When I set up ASM extensions for faxes I make sure I do the following:
Assign 1 I/C (this is VERY important)
Capabilities is default
Prime Set & Control Set = extension
Target line is set to R only on the extension
Target line is set to busy not prime on a busy condition
Call Fwd No Answer &...
When you were programming the PRI, did you create a route and destination code? Under the route is where you assign PRI-A or whatever PRI it is and then indicate private or public and if any digits are dialed out via the route automatically (like a carrier code). The destination code is where...
If you mention that callers can leave a message by pressing *extension number, then the caller will go directly to the users mailbox instead of ringing the phone. A CCR path can be programmed to go to a user's mbx, but it is to a specific ext, not on a call by call basis (hard programmed in -...
Have you checked the vintage of the DTI cards are different from each other? You said the card was replaced. If not, check that. There were issues w/DTI cards. Be sure you have a newer release of the DTI & services card. Also, be sure everything is in synch w/the carrier. Changing to...
