Working with shapes in a downloaded stencil

Hi. I am trying to work with cisco shapes from a stencil downloaded from their website. I have extracted and copied the stencil into the myshapes folder in my documents. The problem I'm having is that the shape shortcuts are not organized alphabetically so I have to sift through 150+ shapes...

RIP, Link Failure, and IP SLA

<---Stupid LOL! My addressing scheme is already setup in a way that supports this. Duh. I'm so used to small One-Site networks that I completely forgot about this feature. Thanks!!!!!

RIP, Link Failure, and IP SLA

Unclerico...I am unable (at least from my understanding) to use a simple summary route as I will have both an internet connection and a private line (to the rest of the internal network) at each site. For this, it is my understanding that I would need to use the summary route for internet...

RIP, Link Failure, and IP SLA

Oops, I was unaware of this feature. I have begun "starring" others as well. Thanks.

Thank you. I very much appreciate it.

Floating static routes for VPN backup connectivity

I was unaware of this feature. I looked into it and, surprisingly, it would be fairly simple to implement on this network. Thanks...probably one of THE most helpful answers I've received.

RIP, Link Failure, and IP SLA

I have asked a few questions here regarding one of my ongoing network designs and have received some very helpful answers. I now have another question (or two). (BTW, I don't require EIGRP or OSPF on this network, RIP can handle it just fine) When using RIP, it is my understanding that when a...

    RIP on Cat3560...Will this work?

Thank you for all of your answers. I have confirmed with my ISP that I can run RIP over the private WAN without issue. I am using dynamic routing over the main WAN and floating static routes over the backup WAN to ensure transparent failover (without the use of multiple routers at each site)...

Which router can handle the bandwidth?

Thanks Vince. I was actually aware of that, I'm just uncertain of whether or not the setup that I'm planning to use will work. Please check out the post and let me know...thanks.

Which router can handle the bandwidth?

Apparently I can't edit posts....that other question is posted in the Cisco Switches forum as opposed to the router forum. Just thought I'd add that. Here's a link: http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1560808&page=1

    RIP on Cat3560...Will this work?

OK. I have will have multiple sites each with separate VLANs. So Site 1 might have VLANs 1-5 and site two might have VLANs 6-8. The core switches handling these VLANs will be 3560s. I would rather not configure routing on a stick since the 3560s are multilayer switches and can handle...

Which router can handle the bandwidth?

Thanks, I've actually decided to use 3560 switches on the LAN side as well as 2800 and 3800 series routers on the (private) WAN edge (with ASAs on the public internet edge). However, this has left me with another question...although, I believe it is a question best left for another post...

Which router can handle the bandwidth?

Thanks. Your answers have been very helpful. Does anybody know which catalyst layer three switch would be good to use for this (instead of using routers)?

Floating static routes for VPN backup connectivity

Actually, it doesn't make sense (to me anyway). The GRE tunnels are over the public internet and the main WAN links are over private dedicated links. My understanding has always been that the GRE tunnels are considered always up (regardless of whether or not they are actually communicating...

Which router can handle the bandwidth?

We are using Metro Ethernet and yes, the hand off is rj-45. I thought that layer 3 switches are only for routing between VLANs on the LAN and not for routing over a layer 3 WAN. I could be wrong though. Maybe someone could explain further? Thanks.

Floating static routes for VPN backup connectivity

I wasn't sure which forum to put this in so I have placed it here and in the VPN forum. I hope that is OK. I have a central location and four remote locations with a router at each location. I will have private leased lines for main WAN connectivity. I will also be using IPsec over GRE for VPN...

Floating static routes for VPN backup connectivity

I have a central location and four remote locations with a router at each location. I will have private leased lines for main WAN connectivity. I will also be using IPsec over GRE for VPN backups from each location to the central location over the public IP cloud. My plan is to configure EIGRP...

Which router can handle the bandwidth?

I have researched the hell out of Cisco's website and I'm still having trouble with making the right choice. There will be 5Mbps links from the remote locations to the main location for a total of 20Mbps of WAN bandwidth being handled by the headend router. 2800 series routers at the remote...
