I'm back again with another question/concern.... Can these memory values in AIX 3.5 running OS level 5.3.0.0 be changed/modified without requiring a reboot? I simply need to know whic ones will require a reboot and which ones will not and will take effect right away.

AIXLogician, when I run "crfs -v jfs2 -d u02 -m /u20 -Ay" command, I get the following
crfs: 0506-909 /u20 file system already exists.

when I run the "mount /u20" command I the following:
mount: 0506-324 Cannot mount /dev/fslv00 on /u20: A file or directory in the path name does not exist.

I successfully created a new volume using "smitty mklv" command with the name u20. Running the "lslv u20" command shows the following:
# lslv u20
LOGICAL VOLUME: u20 VOLUME GROUP: altbckupandexpo
LV IDENTIFIER: 00c9fa2000004c000000013b0aa4ffc0.1...
