It's been a rough day. We want to install the Portwell SBC but we have yet to do one to date. I need to find my guys training. We do have the IP routing locked down to only the SIP server. so it's secure for now. I know of 3 locations that are installed that way and haven't had any hacking...
Working on a new install. Is there a way to get LAN 2 (WAN) to pull a DHCP address from the cable modem? the ISP doesn't do traditional static addressing. They require the device behind the modem to pull a DHCP address and they then assign the same IP address based on the MAC address of that...
R10 Server Edition with external MOH
I'm looking to see if anyone has a particular item they've used. This customer is getting server edition R10. NO v2 chassis at all. All the phones will be 9608G. SIP trunks also.
they currently have an old MOH unit that they wanted to retain. It has an...
This is an older Dr. He wants no part of change. You dont think I had that conversation about VM to EM? even outcalling to a mobile phone directly?? You bet I have.. he doesn't want to budge.
But Server Edition is meant to be run as an "active / active" setup. with some phones registered to each server. Not really meant to be a "hot standbye I've had that discussion with Avaya ATAC already
I'm working on a Dr office layout and their Nortel has a feature that allowed us to have an "emergency mailbox" for after hours. Patient leaves message , once the call is completed the mailbox calls the Dr on call pager and outpulses the office number and mailbox. Well their Nortel is fading...
I don't have the exact setup running in my test lab so I'm posting here.
Customer will have IP500V2 R9.1 .. System will be fed with POTS lines and will have a UC module.
Customer is looking for nights / weekends when calls hit the AA and customer presses 1 for after hours emergency...
I am working with a possible customer who we are proposing a new IP Office solution. Server edition ( 2 servers in the network ) and IP500v2 chassis as remote chassis to support analog and digital stations in certain areas. The issue is with the analog ports. They only provide 40v ringing but...
Hmm. I was told by Avaya tech support that the Nortel Doorphones will not even WORK with the IPO. Let alone opening the door. I thought their statement was odd since I know in Nortel programming the doorphones came up in status as an M7310 phone. but then again so did the T7406 sets on older...
Nope. They are just not supported at all on the IPO. We are installing the Avaya LUADS - Universal Analog Doorphone Speaker
They are rebranded for Avaya. They use an analog station port. Good replacement for the Nortel units.
Quick question that I'm trying to check on. I've call my support folks at our distributor and couldn't get an answer.
We have a Nortel CICS customer that wants to go to an IP Office. So it would be an IP500 V2 Chassis with Essential VM. They have , on the Nortel , 4 BST doorphones (Nortel...
Correct.
that way it doesn't work.
However like I said if I remove the distribute it will send the call out. if no agents are logged in , it will send the call right out.. Just doesn't make sense.
