I've this experience ... 1603 with a blank display but the phone isn't dead (you can do some menu operation, ringing ...). The 1608 (or 1616) on the same extension displays "NOT LOGGED IN" (even if the user wasn't "agent" [ponder]).
After "login" operation, the 1603 shows the correct information...

... to AC2: Can you explain me, what does it mean "install Call Record using the Application software with 9.0"?
I can't find such SW for download, on Avaya download sites. Do you mean Contact recorder?
