IP Office 11.1.3.1 with IP Flex - Sending caller ID

I guess that is easy to do. We just know that extensions can be either DIDs or non-DIDs and if we are talking about sending out a caller ID, we just know that we wouldn't send out a non-DID as caller ID. But I can see how that would confuse some

IP Office 11.1.3.1 with IP Flex - Sending caller ID

The customer doesn't want to send a caller ID that can't be called back. The customer wants to have the option of either sending out their main office number (which can be called back) or sending out the individual's DID number (which can be called back as well).

IP Office 11.1.3.1 with IP Flex - Sending caller ID

I was wondering if that could be the issue. It is SIP.

IP Office 11.1.3.1 with IP Flex - Sending caller ID

I have a customer that has an IP Flex and she wants to send out her extension as her caller ID instead of the main office number. In the ARS, the main number is setup as the telephone number for all codes, as I would expect. Typically, on PRIs, we simply use the NSxxxxxxxxxx with the 9N code to...

What has happened here to Tek-Tips??

I have turned off every setting in my Preferences and I am still getting email notifications. This is the only annoying issue I have found. I don't mind the new format/style, but I get tired of my phone going off constantly with email notifications about topics/replies that I have nothing to do with

IP Office/Voicemail Pro Emergency close situation

@derfloh....got it. When he stated "via short" I thought he meant via short code. I knew the user variable was in Pro and checking the variable.

IP Office/Voicemail Pro Emergency close situation

@IamaSherpa....I follow it all with the exception of seeing a short code feature to "Set the User Variable." Sorry, I'm very new to user variables...

IP Office/Voicemail Pro Emergency close situation

@TeamSherpa....what would be the process for User Defined Variables? I have the Check hunt groups status working currently, but having the option to dial in and change would be great. @TouchToneTommy..I think I could make that work if the User Defined Variables are no easier. Thanks!

IP Office/Voicemail Pro Emergency close situation

@TouchToneTommy....yes that is something I would like to try as well. This would be beneficial in an unexpected snow day situation. What is needed for a module that would change the service mode?

IP Office/Voicemail Pro Emergency close situation

So basically I would create the generic action to look at the new hunt group with no members, That would in turn point to the Variable routing actions that I assign for each number. Then I would take this and put it between the Start Point and Menu within my current AA module? After adding the...

IP Office/Voicemail Pro Emergency close situation

I have a customer that has their main DID coming into IP Office. It checks their business hours and if within, it routes to a Voicemail pro call flow. From there it has 2 options that each ring to 2 specific phones. I have never messed with variables or anything like that. Is there a way for...

Calling an Avaya SIP phone from its own number..

After further investigation within their department, it turns out there is a phone within their department that has it's own specific extension. So they are going to make it a practice to call from that phone when trying to reach the wireless phone. Thanks for the suggestions!

Calling an Avaya SIP phone from its own number..

If someone calls 111-222-3333, do you want it to ring all the J169s AND the Spectralink at the same time? Yes Or would you rather it ring all the J169s for a bit first and then the Spectralink? That isn't how they "want" it to work, but may be...

Calling an Avaya SIP phone from its own number..

I was not sure how to title this thread but here is the explanation. CM and all relevant servers are release 10. I have a department with a few SIP desk phones (J169) that are all logged in as 111-222-3333. The department also has a wireless (Spectralink 8440) extension logged in as this same...

Avaya CM 10.0 SIP Caller ID blocking

@JefferP, Yes, we have. After speaking with our engineer, he states neither him/nor tech support has been able to accomplish this with SIP. He said H323 is easy, but they just cannot get SIP to mask it. We can mask both and have anonymous/anonymous, but we cannot send just the name and only...

Avaya CM 10.0 SIP Caller ID blocking

We have release 10 on all of our servers and we are a SIP environment. We have IS engineers that frequently call users to work issues that they have reported. The engineers are wanting to mask their number from being sent because the users are beginning to call them back directly instead of the...

Avaya CM DHCP scope options question

That makes sense and is what I guessed that meant. The location that was having the issue was set with SIG=1 via the DHCP Scope. So I assume SIG=1 tells the phone to get H323?

Avaya CM DHCP scope options question

I am not having much luck with a search. Within the DHCP scope setup by the customer for our phones, we have an entry like this "SIG=2, HTTPSRVR=X.X.X.X, VLANTEST=90." My question is, what is the SIG=2 telling me? And what does the MCIPADD IP control? Here is my situation for the backstory to...

    Training question

I came from CS1000 as well. As a matter of fact, we still have the CS1000 running alongside the CM as we are converting over. I am good with vectors, VDNs, and have an okay understanding of signaling groups, trunk groups, route patterns, etc... I am still learning the command structure like...

    Training question

Got it. I have those as well. That works. I have learned quite a bit just from our day to day work, so I have a pretty good base. I would just like to get even deeper on several things.
