I do not agree with you on that. The 2600 routers are not very reasonable, considering they come with almost no interfaces and you have to buy expansion cards. All this taken into account, it will be quite expensive and you're better off using the emulator on your hopefully powerful enough PC...

I can tell you how i managed to upgrade the flash in my 2500. You need to boot into RXboot, and from there, you could simply do a copy tftp flash:) So..in order to get to Rxboot, maybe.try and change the registry? fresh CCNA
