hi, i have ran into a serious problem, i changed a few settings on the group policies at work, and now everybody's computer is getting locket out with a message saying "security log is full only administrators can login and change the logs"
i changed the file size to 1024...

i do that: input the ip address: 10.90.5.1 in to Hyperterminal using the tcp/ip(winsock) and port 23
it doesn't connect to it: hyperterminal doesn't connect to the router
i can connect however, directly using a com1 port

now the router address is, for instance, the private addresses are 10.90.5.25 to 254, so the router should be 10.90.5.1 right?

i would recomend you to create a domain, trust me it makes your life a lot easier (i'm a newbie too) for management and scalation this will solve the credentials issue, there's enough documentation in this site as well as everywhere else to help you out with the domain creation

is a T1, it shows a public IP address the lights are on (hence it's connected) clients get addresses via DHCP
now i got it to work, but they are still getting a 198.162 address

how do you create Email accounts on an exim mail server that uses mailman list manager
i really dont know how to create email accounts. "adduser" only adds a user to the server but not an email account.

yes, i logged as administrator
but the options windows (the one where you chose auto or turn off AU)is still grayed out, i even restarted the windows update service from CMC but it wont let me change anything
