So we are simply switching the phones over from UNIStim 5.1 (or some other more current release) to SIP 4.1 firmware (or what is ever more current).
Awesome! that's what I needed to know.

We are on BCM450 6.0 system and purchasing the 1230 IP deskphones.
We are running the latest SU update and on UNIStim 5.1 release (firmware: 062AC8D). This is working fine. My issue is as I explore a possible future migration to IP OFFICE at some point, I want to make sure the IP phones I'm...
I'll play around with a local 1220 IP phone that I can put my hands on, rather than start experimenting with a remote phone. I'm not sure what the provisioning file should look like. The 1220 phone on my desk is running firmware 062AC7M.

I recall reading something about being able to ssh into a VoIP phone. I've got some 1120 IP phones in a remote location and want to inspect their configuration. They work fine and I can ping them. When I ssh (putty) into one of them, I get a "login-as:" prompt. What login do I use? Any...
Ok. But we do have the softphone option from Nortel. Correct?
Do you see future releases of the BCM providing support for SIP phones or possiblity of a SIP gateway? Our users at present are looking specifically for Outlook integration. Ease of dialing directly from their contacts list...
One of our users is asking if our BCM450 6.0 system will support a 3rd party softphone for Outlook, called: Bria for Outlook (see www.counterpath.com). It uses SIP - session initiated protocol. Is this even an option in our BCM environment?? I guess it speaks to how open is the BCM in this...
Here is a line item from our BEM - keycodes screen:
ACTIVE NAT Traversal / Remote Working 1
Is the correct keycode for Remote Worker feature? I ask because the documentation only references "Remote Worker" description.

Have the same problem. We use Comcast Digital Music service which we feed into AM/FM Stereo Receiver (Tape In) and use the (Aux Out) into the music jack on our BCM450. Would be curious to know if there is a fix too!!

MCC Attempt to Connect to a Disabled Modem. CLID = 2699343135
This message shows up on and off in our Admin alarm logs? Does this mean someone attempting to dial into our BCM?

Because we run 7x24, I only want to schedule one weekly backup. Backup to USB would work. I thought backup to BCM would be faster, but I also wanted a off-site copy. How big might the backup get (how big of a USB drive should I get)?
Thanks for the feedback. - VOJ
If we schedule the backup to the BCM on a off-time (e.g Sun 2am), can we copy these backup files manually to a USB drive from the BCM after the fact? Where are these backup files located and how do you access them.

A while back on BCM400 we attempted to schedule BCM backups, but found they would take down call pilot in the process which impacted our 7x24 call center. Has this changed on r6.0?
When and how to most BCM admins perform backups of their configuration and data? Best practice..

Can someone summarize what this means to us if I have a remote office with 20 IP phones all running over a Layer 2 pt-to-pt link back to a main office/call center/bcm. All inbound toll-free traffic
1) When remote location makes outbound calls, the actually route out the main office which is...
You could use a DID# and target line to route an incoming call to an extension (and call forward the Ext to callpilot). Night Service wouldn't come into play here as I assume Night Service is for AA use. Am I understanding you correctly? VOJ
Problem solved!! Biv343 was right. NEW SET prompt meant I was talking to BCM. It occurred to me the User ID: prompt may need a nnadmin login, but I didn't have any option to input letters, so I tried the Telset User ID and Password and low and behold it worked! I was then prompted to "Select...
Hmm. I see under the section titled: Application Resource Reservations: Voice Mail + CC a Min of 6 and Max of 12 (System Max of 63). Don't see any parameters set to 4 that tie to this "Voice Ports" setting? VOJ..
BCM Monitor reports under the Voice Ports tab - Call Center section - 4 Assigned ports. Based on our utilization, I'd say we need to increase this to 6 or 8. Where does this get changed? Keycode, BEM, CallPilot or Hardware? VOJ
Ok. So I removed my provisioning server IP and I'm back to a NEW SET window. Now what? I don't know what User ID: or password it is referring to?? On the 1220 phones I've setup I've gotten a prompt to enter the DN I want to assign the new phone and the registration happens automatically...
