    Avaya Aura H.323/SIP

What is the need for having both H.323 and SIP in the Avaya Aura environment? I understand that Contact Center cannot speak native SIP and that Session Manager is the routing engine but then, why the need for both SIP and H.323 phones? SIP phones register and can have multiple registrations...

Does anyone know if I can upload 36.16.0 or is there some firmware in between that I must upload first and lead into the 36.16.0? If so what release or releases would I...

1st Thanks for the response, I appreciate that. Actually shortly after I posted this I figured it out. After making an entry in loudspeaker paging I got it to work. That is what I was missing. I am now able to use the 4 digit Voice TAC followed by #.

Where is the call history stored? On the phone or does the phone retrieve the info off of a server? Also, what would prevent a station/extension from indicating it's missed call history.

    Avaya Aura Conference Rm phones

Thanks to everyone for the input. In my quest, I've stumbled along a manufacturer called Konftel. I'm looking at the 300IP conference room phone. Has anyone ever heard of or used them? They look similar to the AVAYA B series conference room phones and more reasonably priced. I found a pdf...

    Nortel Contact Center (Symposium)

We are sending billing overflow calls to an off network sub-contractor. We do not have any control over the other parties phone system. The problem that we are running into is that when call traffic is heavy, they cannot handle our call volume. Once their Que is full, it says good-bye and...
