    Upgrade from 3.7 to 4.0

Upgraded BCM400 over the weekend, seemed to go without a hitch. Came back this morning, didn't know they had desktop messaging. People are getting error messages saying "invalid credentials", and are having problems faxing?

    Opt 11 clock controller

I have a 2 cabinet 11. One of the TMDI cards is a point to point that customer uses to access their voicemail which is in another state. Intermittently, they are saying that this circuit goes down. I see the controller light is in red on the card, which is loop 1. The clock is tracking on 2 with...

    Services On

Roger that, good idea, the service somehow got turned off, I had to turn it back on, and the customer said that they had never seen the "Services On" message before. So I figured there must be some way to turn off the message.

    Calls between groups

That totally clears up the situation. I was unsure if the PBX was actually intelligent enough to perform the function. It makes total sense, however I had never been faced with that situation. Thank you very much.

    Hacking

I would definately start by turning off enable redirect in the sets capabilities, turning off outbound transer/outcalling in the users mailbox, changing system administrator and gen deliv mbox passwords regularly, change the mbox class of service mbox expiry time.

    Calls between groups

I installed an additional PRI into an 81C, in CPU 1, group 0. If I make a call off of a set in group 0, the call will go out that PRI, if I make a call off of a set in group 1, it will totally skip that loop and go out a pri in its own group? Is it supposed to work that way?

    Server: No ports left

New BCM 400, 56 IP licences, 106 vm licences, 6 vm channels. 52 IP sets are registered and when I try to add more IP sets I get a set error "Server:No ports left" BCM monitor/useage indicator/used media card resources/signaling channels 59 of 59 are at 100%. Analog Caller ID

Customer has Astra analog 500 sets and wants internal CLID/CPND to work on these sets. When Astra set x1234 calls Nortel M2008 x5678 the 2008 sees the CPND. When the Nortel M2008 x5678 calls the Astra set x1234 the Astra set sees nothing. Do they need the XCMC Class modem cards for this to...

    BCM50 Upgrade from 1.0 to 3.0

I have done quite a few BCM upgrades in the past. I haven't been able to find much information on any gotchas in the 3.0 upgrade procedure (this will be my first 3.0 upgrade). Is anyone aware of any patches needed prior to the upgrade or any problems experienced during or after that I should...
