Non-EMC disk compatibility
Its more than just firmware. Its Mode Pages too. And Voltage. CX drives are 12V only. Dont even think about trying to take a generic to a Clariion CX. Suggest shopping for some used drives. They are available for resonable $$. 73`s & 146`s. -

.fdf files load only on drives that are of the proper EMC family. Drive must be online and bound. And only via the native system. So a Symmetrix drive D010 cannot be flashed on a Clariion system and vice a versa. -

That ST3146807FCV with D010 is not the correct F/W for Clariion or CX. D010 is a Symmetrix DMX drive. They are not interchangable. Correct CX/Clariion firmware is 7A04 or higher.
