Database Maintenance (Sent items, Inbox, Deleted items deletion)

The retention policy does not work for Deleted items. I set it to delete after 21 days back in november but I have items in the deleted items box from all of last year. Exchange 2010 SP1 Does anyone know how to turn on higher logging for retention policies so I can do some detective work on...

50 Cisco AP1220 in autonomous mode

We have a large warehouses with 50 Cisco AP1220 access points running in autonomous mode. Roaming is sometimes an issue. Does anyone else run this many access points without a central controller? I don't even know if a central controller would help speed up the roaming. Thank you

Database Maintenance (Sent items, Inbox, Deleted items deletion)

In 2003, weekly database maintenance controlled how long sent items/inbox/deleted items will be kept and everything else could be deleted, or just logged (with the log sent to the administrator) Could you point me in the direction of this feature in Exchange 2010? Thank you!

    "Browse For Folder" dialog box

Browse for Folder doesn't show "my network places" anymore. Anything created using "add network location" to the "computer" in windows explorer also does not show up; only mapped network drives show up. Is there a way to make these "network locations" show up in the browse for folder dialog...

    Powerconnect 3524P gigabit uplink

I connect the Powerconnect 3524p ethernet uplink ports to a regular port on the 6224 (all ports are gigabit) and no activity lights come on either end of the connection. I thought it could be the cables terminated incorrectly but when I move the cables from the 3524p gigabit ports to one of the...

Exchange 2010 Management Console on port 8080

We don't have Default Web Site bound to port 80, only port 8080. Does anyone know how to allow EMC to connect to exchangeserver\powershell on port 8080 rather than port 80? Using powershell, you can manually type exchange2010:8080 as the server to connect to but EMC doesn't allow this. Thank you

    Demoting Win2k3 DC

We have 2 Win2k3 DC's and 1 Win2008R2 DC. We're retiring one of the Win2k3's named MAIN. What happens to people who are logged in and authenticated to MAIN if I demote it? Will their KDC ticket still be valid or do they need to reboot to connect to one of the remaining DC's? Thank you

    EXEC sp_MShelpcolumns

FYI, anyone else having this problem this may help. Since we made the jump from Access 2000 to Access 2007, a new property is added to each form called FetchDefaults and defaults to "YES". Setting this property to NO on every single form speeds things up alot since it doesn't execute the...

We have an ADP which runs fast in access 2000 The same adp runs significantly slower when opening forms in Access 2007. An Sql2005 trace reveals the following statement being executed only when the adp is run from Access 2007 and taking over a second EXEC sp_MShelpcolumns N'tblname', NULL...

    Ricoh 3245C drum lines

We change the drums in our Ricoh 3245C and a few days later it starts printing solid lines again. I think the printer may be sending a bad voltage down to the drum and burning the drum out prematurely. Has anyone else experienced this or found a fix for it? Thank you!
