Hey guys, the other night I reseated CP 0 and CMDU 0 cards due to CMDU 0 being down and disabled. Everything went well so I thought. I sync'ed the CPs memories, sync'ed the disks, performed a data RDUN which passed just fine. Verified both CPs and CMDUs up and operational as well as RDUN...
Yeah, I've read that, however, that has to do with replacing an IODU/C. If I just want to re-seat it, I guess I would just put it back in after disabling it, re-enable it and it will boot back up? (Hopefully)
Ahhhhh, but there in lies the problem. Neither floppy on core 0 or core 1 is working. The only backup I see happening is on the core 1 HDD. I want to lock down core 1 (active) in maint mode, then try to get the IODU\C for core 0 working with a remove and reseat procedure first, if possible.
Hey, can somebody with experience removing and reinstalling an NT5D61AA (and maybe the CPU card)in an OPT 81C post the correct procedure? I have an IODU\C in core 0 that is unresponsive. It shows disabled and will not come up. Neither the HDD or floppy disk seem to be working. The Nortel...
Yeah, I've done that. The information is very general. ADAN printout for one SDI port says 1200 Maint and the other is TTY 15 - an ehternet connection. TTY 15 I'm not so worried about, we have another that is working. Who knows what device MAINT 1200 is. I do know this. IODU\C 0 is not...
Not an option. The budget from the powers that be will not even consider it. We are stuck with bubble gum and bailing wire from now until crash time. Just would like to know where to start looking. Do you think the SDI ports refer to the DNUMs possibly?
Hey everybody! Nice to be back again.......sort of. I have an Opt 81C with hex codes of 88 8 on CPU 0 and 88 2 on CPU 1. The good book of Nortel hex codes says I have issues with SDI ports......you guessed it 8 and 2. My question is this: How do I decipher what exactly the codes are pointing...
Sorry about the lack of detail. It's a VMB that is set up correctly. Phone H&F to the VM access number. It was working fine until a couple of days ago, now I can't play messages, change it or delete it. The console displays the "session cannot be continued at this time" message" whenever you...
Hey, my local terminal was mis programmed as TTY 15 port umpty scrunch and now I have lost local access. I found out that I can not make changes or deletions in LD 17 unless I am connected to CAB 0 Port 0 via local terminal. Bummer dude. Can I do it through a maintenance telephone? Is there...
Hey, can anybody tell me if somewhere in LD 2 I can set up measurement recording of PRI channel utilization? I need to see how much channel usage our T1's are using throughout a "normal day." The Travon Martin case is coming up and I need to analyze peak usage in case we need to implement...
Hey all, I have always noticed this issue from when I first started telephone in my organization. When I program an extension of an anaolg phone on to a multi line phone (550 set) to an (m2616 set) the conversation of the 500 set can be heard if you select the DN of the 500 set on the multi...
Hey all, just wanted to know if I can perform a remote backup to the on site PCMCIA card. I know I can back it up to a floppy disk or my computer...just want to know if it's possible to invoke a backup remotely to the PCMCIA card in slot B on site.
Thanks to all replies,
Herbasaur
Hey all, we currently employ the multimodem fiber receiver option between our main cabinet and two expansion cabinets. I hear there is a single mode fiber receiver option out there. We are currently using the SSC NTDK20AA card and the NTDK23AA multimode fiber receiver cards. We are splitting...
dbmcdonakl99, I mistyped my reply. I did use control + right brackett. Since I am not familiar with the PDT function, I will forego that option. As a worst case scenario, we have a vendor with all the Nortel (Avaya) access options and reloads etc., that we can use. My question is, without...
intelligentium, been there done that as far as the "Ctrl + }" Logging in to the PBX is out of the question....all forms of access are dead or not working. We are going to perform a sysload toward the end of the week unless the PBX ceases all call processing. I work in Central Florida and we've...
