Why don't you just go in using the OAM port with a crossover cable. Just change your ip address to 10.10.11.2. As the ip of your BCM OAM port should be 10.10.11.1. Then you would be able to go in and see what your ip address of the box is.

I would just make the Hunt Group extention be an answer DN of the doorphone Ext. Then whenever the door phone is pressed it should ring the members of the HG.

No need to take it apart, just unplug the phone, then take some 409 cleaner & spray some on the phone, & with an old tooth brush work it around the buttons. If it is an M series phone the buttons are easily removed and cleaning is much easier. allow phone to dry and plug back in and do a feature...
I realize you can't go directly from 1.0 to 6.0, but what are the possible ramifications we can expect to encounter? We will go from 1.0 to 3.0 then 3.0 to 6.0 i believe. Barring any major problems during upgrade, what will be lost, besides just VM messages. Is there anything else to worry...
Also if you use caller ID, you will no longer recieve info if the phone does not ring at least twice. Not sure if this pertains to you but just FYI.

P.S. I have tried switching ports multiple times, but problem still persists. you can call in once and get ext. not available, then the next time it might go through just fine, like it isn't recognizing the DTMF??????

Have a MIC's 4.1 with a 4.0 NAM VM. Periodically when you dial extensions within the switch it will say extension not available. Not sure if it might be a DTMF problem or something with the KSU. Any suggestions are much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Have to have call log set up on that extension. Unfortunately if you don't have log already set up, you can't review any of the calls previous to this set up. You will have a pool of probably 600 logs to distribute however you see fit, you can put all of them on one ext. or you can divide them...
Is the BCM 3.7 or 4.0 and higher? 3.7 uses unified manager whereas the 4.0 or higher uses element manager. What programming are you trying to accomplish? you first need to go into telephony resources and tell the KSU what type of module is in the BUS that corresponds.

The card in the BCM needs to be a GATM not GASM, the GASM is for analog stations, not trunks. But with the GATM the lines are two on two off just like in the Norstar.

You also have to upgrade your software on your KSU (It sounds alot like you have a CIC's cabinet). Anyway you r software has to be at least 6.1 to recieve caller ID and will need programming under each set/line for CI. It will also only appear on sets that are ringing on incoming calls.

Changing the DN won't change the target lines though. you will need to go into lines admin/ under target lines, find your line with the right received digits and apply to your ext. Probably lost all button programming, try feature *0 check all your buttons for correct features

make sure you are hooked up to a good port on the switch. if the port is good go under maintanance in the programming and see if the port recognizes the RAD. also try hitting feature 9** on a programming phone and see if it asks for password, if so then you know the RAD is functioning correctly...
I am trying to access an 1140e set that has a password already installed, but no one seems to know the right password. i already tried the 26567*738 with no luck, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Those are your internal analog trunk lines. They are not a seperate module as you described. Check to make sure your amphenol 25 pair connector is securely in place on the front of the BCM, also if you have a butt set or analog phone you can test the CO lines just to make sure it isn't the...
Check your primeline also. make sure this is set to either Pool or intercom

Nevermind about the keycodes remark.(misread the bcm 450 part, thought it was a BCM50). My bad. also try possibly a different port on the ASM

Did u make sure the new ext. has line pool access? also make sure you have sufficient analog ports on the BCM. you can check this in element manager under keycodes.

Okay oldestgeek along those same lines, And don't ask me why my customer wants to do this, but he currently has an Avaya I.P. office and wants us to convert everything the Avaya does over to a bcm 450 with all the bells and whistles. Anyway he wants to be able to send a busy signal to any...
What happens to unanswered target line DID's if they are called, but not assigned to any particular ext.? Do they just roll to the prime set after XXX amount of rings? or go somewhere else like Gen. Delivery MB?
