IP Office; Hospitality: setting a message waiting light on analog phones from a digital phone

Thanks for the suggestions. It may be as simple as setting a voice mail for the analog set and letting that do the lamp; the customer is used to a console where they can just light a lamp using a key and entering a room number.

IP Office; Hospitality: setting a message waiting light on analog phones from a digital phone

We are proposing an IP Office for a small motel. Is there a way to light a message waiting lamp on an analog room phone from a digital set used as a console

    call forward or transfer off-site

One other question: how do we determine the release level? Thanks

    call forward or transfer off-site

Thanks, I'll check out the release level.

    call forward or transfer off-site

I have a customer with a Partner system that wants to set up a Viking ACA-1 Auto Attendant on an analog port to answer calls. One of the optons would be to send callers off site to an 800 reservation number. I've been looking through the domcumentation but haven't found anything specifically...

Mitel digital system, call forwarding issues.

This issue has been solved. It turns out that the call forwarding to voice mail was following the path specified in form 19 for DID calls into this tenant. The DID calls that weren't being routed specifically were going to an extension that was forwarded B/NA to the speed dial entry that...

Mitel digital system, call forwarding issues.

I modified *999 to 799*91*6*9; xfred NA calls still got the path associated w/ *5, please enter security code. However now xfr to vm on busy got please enter security code also so the change to *999 caused that. Put *999 back to 799*90*6*9. This software is to old to use the speed dial index...

Mitel digital system, call forwarding issues.

According to the docs, 709 is not an option in G1004. A call directly made from the console to a phone that then forwards NA to VM gets the correct greeting. It only appears to happen on a transferred trunk call, although I did not try setting up a call from an ext to an ext and then...

Mitel digital system, call forwarding issues.

I didn't actually try changing the *999; I'll give that a go just for grins. The 1004 generic did allow splittng call forwarding for internal vs. external calls. That COS option is off in the COS's for the rooms, admin sets, console and trunks. I didn't find anything in the descriptor that...

Mitel digital system, call forwarding issues.

My bad, *005 = 799*91*6*9; *999 = 799*90*6*9. Voice mail is an InnLine; looks like the same integration as an Innovation. I also don't remember, nor can I find, anywhere that you can set a different destination based on call forward type or based on the call coming from a blind xfr trunk. The...

Mitel digital system, call forwarding issues.

Abbreviated Dial access code is *. Message retrieval: *005 = 799*91*6*9; Play greeting and leave message: *999 = 799*91*6*9. What is being sent to the VM during forwarding on a no answer call is 1XXX; on a busy, 0XXX. If I change the entry in 005 to be the same as the one in 999 the calls...

Mitel digital system, call forwarding issues.

We have a customere who has a MitelSX200 Digital G1004 with T1 trunks. The trunks were recently converted from a direct T1 from Telco to a DSX connection on an Adtran router IA circuit. Since then, calls outside calls that are answered or initiated at the console or any other phone and are...

SpectraLink 8020 sets not coming up behind a Mitel 5000

Thanks for the inputs on this. What it turned out to be was that the SVP and teh endpoints HAVE to be on the same subnet; this is stated somewhere in the Ploycom documentation. We are using Sonic Wall routers and APs and up until late December the firmware on the router did not allow bridging...

SpectraLink 8020 sets not coming up behind a Mitel 5000

Update on this post: after pulling the new files from the tftp server I was able to statically enter the SVP IP address on the handsets. Now I get "No SVP Response" and haven't figured out how to get beyond that point.

SpectraLink 8020 sets not coming up behind a Mitel 5000

I am trying to install SpectraLink 8020 sets on a Mitel 5000. The display in the handset shows "No SVP IP." I have set up the tftp server and the handsets load the latest .bin files I got from Polycom. I believe I have the sip_allusers.cfg and sip_XXX.cfg files set up correctly. Any ideas on...

Setting the system time from a phone

Thanks for all of the responses. This system is not on a network and it's just lost some time. The trick is setting a phone with the proper rights.

Setting the system time from a phone

What has to be set up to allow a telephone, specifically a 1408 digital, to set the system time? Also, is there a default password for the built-in modem?

    Avaya 1220 IP sets on a BCM50 Rls 6

Thanks for the help. I'll pass these on to our techs.

    Avaya 1220 IP sets on a BCM50 Rls 6

So, we mangaged to get these sets working by connecting them to a BCM50 rls3 system we have in our lab. The phones came up to where the display prompted for a password. At that point we connected the phones to the BMC rls 6 and the phones booted up; the display prompted us for the password and...
