Curlycord - thanks for the reply. Exactly my way of thinking but thought I would ask, just put it out there in case someone had handy advice. I have worked with 110 blocks and as you say, punch many 110 blocks without the 5 pair punch tool and does not that long at all. I mainly use the 5 pair...
Hi,
I had a previous post about the use of BIX test clips. All replies were helpful. Here I am here again with another BIX subject.
Very large install which currently has a frame in the middle of the MDF. All blocks are BIX. Some of the old cabling is in the process of being removed. Cables and...
Hi, Recently replaced an older Mitel phone system. Previous setup customer had lost vmail and cards were starting to die on a regular basis. Replaced with a ComXchange system using gateways (ATA) as the analog side of the system. The hotel has a Motorola TS-524 which rides over a selection of...
Sorry for such a long delay. Pulled in so many directions do not know where I am. Thanks for the info. Finally getting to work on this project. Downloaded and will set for light reading in my spare time.
Hi, We have been asked to replace an NEC NEAX2400 IMS system. Large hotel of over 1000 rooms plus also has remote units either in the form of another NEC2400 or DCU.
Not much information out there on the DCU.
Do they supply DTerm (x23) only or can they also add an x amount of analog extensions...
Had a similar issue and tested with a couple of cell phones. I use IPhone 6. I went into settings and cellular - changed Enable LTE setting from Voice and Data to Data only. This worked. Not a full explanation, but it worked.
We have an old Meridian System we are in the process of replacing. The operators are using a "PRS 150 Voice Announcer" Q-Voicesaver Clear Concise Consistent. The operator phones are being replaced with Polycom phones. I am interested to know the setup of these devices. Does anyone out there know...
Thanks for the info. Still trying to get time to look into this with Panasonic. Big projects keeping me from this but i will have sometime next week. I seem to remember when installing, I was informed I had a lot or resources and was a bit of an overkill for what I actually needed at the time...
thanks for the feedback. Pansonic at one time was my "primary" work back in 2009. Since then I have moved on to Hosted VOIP systems and have not logged into a Panasonic unit for a few years. At the time I had not and still have not had much exposure to the DSP configs and how it can be used...
I have a TDE200 and a TDE100 linked via a fiber link. 2 Buildings on same property. Two different addresses.
TDE200 has the LCOT that all calls are routed through. 2016 is the year that Michigan schools with Multi Line telephone System needs to comply with e911 service. Being able to identify...
BELDEN A0270166 BIX TEST PROBE, SINGLE PR W/CLIPS
I have come across a site that has BIX IDC for all terminations. Not had much to do with BIX other than the odd punch down here and there with BIX punch down blade. I am looking at the above test probe. Does anyone know if this test probe...
Hi,
I am in the process of replacing an HCX5000. Know next to nothing of the PBX. Part of the process in doing this we create a port map of all analog extensions at the blocks at the cable coming from the PBX.
We try to use existing cable connectors where possible and we simply connect our 25...
We will be replacing the mentioned PBX. From photos received there is a main module appox 9 ru in size. This I assume to be the control unit. Above this unit are the analog units. A total of 6. These seem to be 2 ru in size. The new system will be using the existing amphenol cables connected to...
Belevedere.
Thanks for info. Very helpful. They are in the process of swapping out the PBX and we try to use the existing cabling for the analog extensions. There will be a short amphenol cable coming from the new PBX which will connect to the existist cable that went to the old PBX. This will...
Hi, Looking for information on the subject PBX. What gender are the connectors on the rear of the PBX for analog station. Amphenol 25p ? If I were to purchase a cable for this system what gender would my cable need to be to connect to it. Also, does the system use use 24 ports or is there a...
Re: rip out. Not my call. Chain of hotels making changes. Have been sent pics of systems and all look to be similar and all look to be very well installed. Not like some of the jobs we come across. Great cabling makes for easy transition. Downtime during cutover is related to card types in the...
Swapping to a non Avaya system. Hosted system. Polycom admin users and analog gateways for guest rooms. Depending on analog card types will decide how many jumpers to move using existing cabling. Analog gateways are 24 port units. Perfect scenario would be 24 port cards on Avaya System. To date...
Hello, Looking for information about cabling and possibly cards. Customer has system which is being ripped out. Replacing the unit and hopefully using existing cabling. There are 515 analog extensions in use. From photos there looks to be 5 cabinets/modules stacked. Unfortunately they did not...
