@Inteltweaker
Thank-you for the update. I had mine configured as well, and had it working -- but it wasn't elegant as I could never get the config file perfected -- a great example was button configs/ring tones -- something was always just "off" about it.
Any chance you can post your entire...
@Inteltweaker - I posted about this exact thing over on thread 1818269 - entitled "NEC DT730 NEC-SIP to SIP - Download Signature Failed"
TLDR - You need a TFTP server and a bunch of files/configs.
I had mine registered with my local VoIP provider and VoIP.ms -- it worked, but I never got the...
Out of curiosity, what are you all doing with the generic SIP firmware? It's not as simple as flash and configure the phone -- you need to use a TFTP server for this to function, but I don't see anyone mentioning this let alone the configs used.
@Prashant Patel - I know very little about the NEC world -- I was just stubborn enough that I had to see it through (with the help of this community).
From what I recall, the extra "s" is for the generic SIP firmware. The other is the NEC-SIP firmware.
Without going into too much detail as to...
Good monring,
Thank-you belevedere and gjstroom. Without your help, I would still be pounding my head against the wall.
I was able to successfully convert my DT730 to SIP F/W to "NEC Std SIP 2.3.109.4" and use it to make both inbound and outbound calls using VoIP.ms. Tested -- works well. I...

Going down the rabbit hole here, I have a new working theory -- the phones are fine.
If I unplug the phone from the network, I realized I no longer get a "Signature Error". I suspect the phones were both trying to reach out to a non-existant server (or an existant server with an invalid...
I fired up my old T42 running Windows XP, installed IPPhoneManager+Pumpkin and retried the upgrade process using IPPhoneManager with the original phone - same issue. Signature Error.
Alright, so I wanted to rule out my manual TFTP upgrade escapades (and Windows 10) as an issue here.
I grabbed...
Good morning,
I have an NEC DT730 (which I recently converted using files acquired by the usual means (thanks again)).
Despite everything showing successful -- upon reboot, it waits on LLDP, initializes DHCP, I can access the "Menu" -- login as admin, etc. -- but after a couple of minutes I'm...
Good morning,
Can someone please e-mail me the standard SIP firmware for the DT700 and DT800 series?
I have found myself with a collection of a bunch of now useless phones I'd like to revive rather than tossing in the trash.
My e-mail is removed@gmail.com -- thank-you!
Good morning,
I have an sv9100 which is largely vendor managed -- however, they've dropped off the map in terms of availability due to the obvious global situation. We're a small shop, so it makes sense... I guess.
Anywho -- I'm logged into WebPro and trying to find out how to forward my...
Good morning folks,
Long story short, I am replacing a number of our access layer switches with some new Cisco 2960-X's at the moment, and figured this would be the time to (finally) utilized the "switchport voice access vlan xxx" command and use a single port for both voice and data, rather...
