    Roaming profile setup

We have a Server 2003/Vista environment and decided against roaming profiles. We found it easier to use Folder Redirection. Do you think that would work for you too? Here is a link that might help...

    Hyper-V Server 2008 Installed...Now What?

I've installed Hyper-V Server 2008 on our new Dell Server. How do I go about creating VM's? I see quite a bit of documentation for Servers running Server 2008 with Hyper-V Enabled, but not for the Hyper Visor only scenario.

    OWA not working externally

Have you also added the DNS records to your ISPs server? internally you can use servername/exchange however outside the firewall you will need to set up a url that points to your SBS box. something like https://mail.domainname.com for example.

    Workgroup pc's in SBS domain

I would agree with ShackDaddy, map the network printers by IP address to workgroup PCs. You may also consider adding domain\guest to the permissions of your shared printers.

What is the proper path for adding a 2nd DC and displacing the 1st?

Hello again, I'm helping to displace an end-of-life server 2000 domain controller with a Server 2003 system. I'll need to migrate user accounts and data (spreadsheets, word docs etc) it's a fairly simple setup compared to most. I think I understand the concepts involved but could use some help...

How do I easily add 35 New Vista systems to my domain?

Hi Gang, I have 35 new vista systems about ready to ship from the manufacturer and I have a few issues. 1) How do I add all 35 machines to the domain preferably at the same time. As opposed to sitting down 1 by 1 and joining them manually. I would assume some kind of script is involved and...

    Website Blocker

ISA might be a start if you're running premium edition, but I'm not sure that there is anything native to SBS 2003 standard edition that would prevent bad surfing habits. Depending on your router there might be something in it to help filter or block access. Try the OEMs website.

    Blackberry & SBS 2003 Installation

Hi Gang, I have a customer interested in mobile devices and while I'm a Windows Mobile guy they have their eyes focused on Blackberry phones. They're running SBS 2003 R1 Standard w/SP2. Are there any issues I should be aware of? I'm looking through the Blackberry website but have not yet...

Restricting share permissions when using VPN only

My first suggestion is to look at perhaps creating a GPO configured to be more secure when using a standard profile or domain profile. I have not read this entirely but these links might help you along the way. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb878049.aspx...

I have multiple certificates but unsure which ones are needed/in use

Hi Gang, In my quest to configure OWA/RPC over HTTPS I created a few certificates. The thing I don't know which ones I am using or need to have available. Ideally I'd like to remove or archive any "unnecessary" certs, for the sake of simplicity. How might I do this? BTW -I've been using...
