I'm looking for the infector for this, as I'd like to try my hand at an automatic removal tool. I have tried the list of known CWS domains from SpywareInfo, but found nothing.

You want to intentionally infect your PC for testing purposes??? This is not adviseable unless your have a test machine you may need to eventually have to nuke (rebuild).

Don't worry, I am fully prepared for any consequences: I have all my data backed up to CD, and disk images of my OS and programs--and I don't mind a reinstall if absolutely necessary. Now, I'll see if I can find some good warez sites and then check for the spyware I want...

unfortunate but true, but it seems if you do a google search for "spyware removal" or something similar, you will get lots of results for stuff that actually installs spyware.
